H10362 - Bethlehem Lights Natural Series Indoor/Outdoor 5' Tree w/Urn
Not So Much!
I ordered the 4' Trees and one of the two trees didn't work. Very dissapointing. I called to return the tree, hoping to replace it with the same. No such luck. QVC was sold out of the 4' tree. So they both had to be returned. I still wanted the look at the front of my home so, I had to "upgrade" to the 5' trees. When these arrived, each at a different time, one of the trees had lights that didn't operate. I was so frustrated! I had to return these 2 items again. I would NOT recommend these items for purchase.
I just received this tree and it is gorgeous! The urn is lovely and heavy, so no danger of the tree tipping. I had it put together in about 20 minutes, including spreading the branches. Worth every penny; will make any room elegant.
So-so for Bethlehem Tree
The urn is heavy and beautiful. The tree needs a fourth light strung as there are a few dark spots within the tree. You must work hard to reposition the branches to adjust the tree to look like the image. My dislike is that some of the branches are plastic. I was surprised to see the plastic branches. The pinecones are nice and realistic.
they are beautiful
I have 2 of these urns , I put them outside my door and they really dress up my door at the holidays, beautifully constructed I would highly recommend them!!!!!
EASIEST OUTDOOR DECORATING EVER!
I purchased one of these 5-ft. trees with multicolor lights to place on our front steps, out in the open, with no protection from the wind. Having read the negative reviews about the tree easily blowing over, I was a bit hesitant, but purchased it anyway. Upon unpacking the urn, I noticed that the inside is slightly "hollowed out". I filled the urn with river rock (pea gravel, landscaping drainage stones, etc. would also do just fine). Then I arranged the branches to cascade over the rim of the urn so that the rock was not visible. We have had unusually windy weather for the past two months -- several days with gale force winds, and today a massive snowstorm with 45-mile-an-hour wind gusts. The tree has been outside for 4 weeks and not once has it tipped over! It is obvious why the urn is hollowed out ... it allows you to add some weight or ballast to the urn to keep it steady no matter what! The lights are so bright and festive, and are visible from over a half block away. Pair this tree up with Item V24672 (25' Multi-Outlet Extension Cord with Auto-Timer) for the EASIEST OUTDOOR DECORATING you'll ever experience! We have had many wonderful compliments on this tree, and I would not hesitate to purchase another one. I would recommend it highly!
Not one of my better purchases
I bought two trees for our covered porch (using it outside), thus protected from most elements. However, the wind blows them over. The urns that come with this product aren't large enough to keep the tree from falling over with mild wind. Also, the lights in the top part of one of the trees went out (after 10 days of purchase) and I had to spend some time finding the defective bulb.
I looked into sending them back but at 17.50 return shipping for each, I decided to get creative and place them in large cement pots i had on our porch. Hopefully this will solve the problem with the wind.
I would recommend them for indoor use only.
Bethlehem Lights Natural Series Indoor/Outdoor
The first time I took the tree out of the box, one of the strings did not work and it was impossible to find the one that was defective. The tree did not look the one shown on air.
I bought this tree in August and didn't open it until early Dec. when I put out my Christmas decorations. Even though the urn was slightly chipped, I am more than pleased with this purchase. I have anchored the base in the ground to prevent it from tipping over in the wind, and so far, it has held up. The branches look very real and the lights are plentiful and sparkling. It is a very nice addition to our outdoor decorations.
I bought two 5-ft trees with clear lights for my front entrance. The first day I put them outside the wind blew them over and the pots cracked and chipped. They look nice but are not made well - too light-weight and top heavy. May be better for indoor use. Not worth the money. I purchased these in July and wish I had opened and tried them then. I would have returned them.
Too beautiful, but pots could break...
I opened these in July and made sure they worked. I was concerned about all the cords...not like my tree from Bethlehem Lights. I just assembled these (I bought two for my partially covered front entrance) and though it takes A LOT of time to "fluff" and adjust, they are GORGEOUS. The extra cords fit into the branches nicely and you can't see them. The only thing is that they are sooo pretty that I hate to put them on the porch where they will get partially wet when the rain is blowing and can tip over and break. I could put them in front of the garage, but again they are top heavy and will get wet and a big wind will blow them over and I'm sure the pots will break. To me they look like outdoor trees so I'm not sure what to do with them... These trees would be great for a larger covered porch or entrance area. I have to figure out how to secure them to the outdoor cement...??? A lot of money for these if they break outdoors. I don't like to use the garland thats been outdoors back inside either ( the metal rusts) so once these are used outside I'm not sure if I want them back indoors so not real versitile.
Not what it seems on TV
I bought two of these one in clear and one in the multi color lights. I just opened the box and started to se these up for Christmas. Well, I have to say that I am disappointed. There are three different plugs for each tree, for the lights, only one strand worked the other two did not. Thought if might be the fuse so I changed that and the lights still did not work. The tree did not look as full and it did on TV, and the pot was a little crooked. I noticed that it also had a plastic smell. These are going back. Sorry but I cannot recommend something that will not even work out of the box.
Wonder why we still get a "real" tree
I bought 2 of these in July, and just unpacked today (November). The really are lovely. I'm not a fan of "fake" trees -- but these are wonderful. I am pleasantly surprised.
The 5' size is perfect in my home -- large enough to make a presence, but not overbearing.
I bought 2 sets of holiday garlands (pointsettias/leaves from the local craft store), wrapped them around the trees, and wow!
