So far so good
I have a million cookbooks at home & this is the one I reach for most often. The ingredients are simple and the food has been good so far. We are on a very strict budget and only using 5 ingredients makes it budget friendly. I have made a few things out of this book for work potlucks & the dishes always get rave reviews! The only thing I miss are pictures. I like to have an idea what the end result should look like.

Great For Ideas
This is a great book to get dinner on the table quickly. I love that most of the ingredients are already in my pantry. I cook for two young children and this book contains simple meals for them as well as meals I can take to church potlucks.

Kids Favorites Too
Our family has enjoyed several recipes from the book and gives a thumbs up! Most of the ingredients are already on hand, the dishes taste great, and are easy to prepare. Defenitely a keeper!

Great variety
Absolutely love this book. There are so many different ideas that you can make and many I think will be my new favorites. Easy to follow and even my daughter the chef likes it. Might have to get one for her.

disappointed
I made two recipes from this cookbook and didn't like either one of them so this book goes back.Wasted a lot of time on preparation and wasted money on the groceries I used for the two recipes..I have tried two other Mosley and McKee cookbooks and was disappointed but thought I would give this one a try.Disappointed with this one,too.Should have listened to the review from the woman who said her husband didn't like the dishes she made for him.A waste of time and money.What one person says is a good recipe to them may not be a good recipe to others.

Mix & Match Recipes
Over all this is a Fantastic Recipe Book. You don't need pictures to cook, but you do need good instructions and sometimes specific instructions. These are good for both the novis and experienced cooks. I bought this for a friend who only fixed the few basic dishes she learned. With this book she's mixed & matched recipes according to her families tastes and loves the simplicity of the recipes and their directions. I have now copied some recipes myself.

Pleasantly Surprised
I've only been able to read through the first 50-60 pages, but so far, so good. I've seen some awesome drinks, apps and breakfast treats that I can't wait to make and I know that they'll take no time at all. I wasn't really excited about this book at first because I knew that there wouldn't be any pics, but I must say that the variety of recipes helps me to see past that. I'm glad I picked it up and anyone who loves to cook, but sometimes just wants to take a shortcut should pick this up! And for those who don't like shortcuts, get it anyway and any ingredient that comes in a can, you can just make it from scratch and still use the other items they suggest to "Jazz" it up! It's a win-win!

easy peasy recipes
never have i had a cookbook that would allow me to just go to the pantry and get what I already have... usually I don't have something then I have to go to the store and get it... Our children are grown and like everyone we need to watch our pennies... and it really gives me a jump start for the days I don't know what to fix... buy it you'll like it...

Some recipes don't work
I have to wonder if they tried these recipes before they printed them. I know for a fact that you can't bake chicken breasts for 30 minutes at 350 and have them be done. I've made a few of the things in here, and my husband kind of just looked at me and asked where I got the recipe from. I know then not to ever make it again. I absolutely cannot recommend this book to anyone that's ever tasted good food before. And I'm not a gourmet.

great mix of recipes
As the official "cook" for a large family, including very fussy children, this is a great cookbook. Nice variety of recipes and the most important thing, I don't have to spend hours in the kitchen! Some reviewers said there was too much sugar in some of the recipes. There is always room for substitution for most of these recipes. We follow a low sodium and low sugar diet as well so I will substitute or cut out ingredients as appropriate. Highly recommended!

The best cookbook for everyone young or old or eve
This is a fabulous cookbook for a senior citizen as it has only five ingredients. I cook with it every other day and share my cooking with neighbors. Fabulous recipes. I will give this book and recommend it to even the college students like my granddaughter who loves to cook but doesn't have facilities to keep alot of ingredients on hand. But can get them at a local store with no trouble and low cost. I ordered more for gifts. Perfect for under twenty five dollars with shipping
