The cake book was ok. Have made a couple recipes in it, and they were ok. The mug book is a disaster and a waste of money and time. Nothing really sounded good to make. The list of ingredients and small amounts of each one, by the time I got everything out and measured the small amounts of each, I feel I would have made a big mess for a one mug cake. No way. I really should have sent them back. I feel that these books were not worth the price and that high shipping cost! I will no longer buy anything that has a shipping charge on it, only if it has free shipping. Never again. The price gets too expensive.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Okeefe The best for my figure and diabetes.
I switch the 2 TBSP oil to 1 TBSP applesauce, switch the sugar for splenda and add some of my own spices which works great for my cravings and the size forces me to have only one portion. This is great for my cravings and type 1 diabetes. I give it a GREAT, GREAT and MORE GREAT!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tess9 Mmmmmmm, DELICIOUSLY AWESOME!!
I changed the channel to see what was going on with David in the kitchen and he was holding this book in his hands. Well thank goodness because I went right on my smart phone and snatched it up right before it sold out. My husband was super skeptical about my purchase and he was the first one to try it. Although we haven't tried the dump cakes yet...The mug cakes are so yummy!!! We love the few recipes we tried so far and can't imagine the dump cakes wouldn't be just as good. Pick this up and you won't be disappointed!!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Golden Lover Also "Jump" Dump Recipes
These recipes are so fun! They are a good "jumping off" start for changes YOU can make. For instance, mix in fresh fruit with the canned "No Sugar added" pie filling, or add cornstarch & a little water to fresh fruit & your own sweetener for a healthier pie filling of your own. Google an easy recipe for cake mix & use Splenda or a natural sweetener instead of sugar. I'm not worried about the egg or butter, because even our cardiologist has said that "Sugar is the new fat" & studies are proving him right. The dump cakes can be for the family, and you don't have to feel left out, as you can make something in a mug for yourself that is portion controlled and low carb. You can also adapt the mug recipes, make them low carb, and they come out delicious. They have ideas for using combinations I wouldn't have thought of, so for me they are Jump Recipes! I don't worry about the print--I have glasses and kitchen lights, so I had no problem with that. Ignore the bad reviews, because these are creative books.

I like the sound of the recipes, BUT, like other reviewers, I don't like the print and the lack of information. The print is so light that you have to be in VERY good light to be able to read the ingredients. As far as information, I feel like she could have suggested a size of mug - 8 oz., 12 oz., etc. Some of the pictures look like she was using a soup mug which can hold up to 18 oz. or more. I don't feel like I should have to experiment to come up with the correct size. She could have at least estimated the size saying approximately this size. Will keep the books but was disappointed in print color and lack of information.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Keurig The Ingred. are printed in a light colored orange
I am 70 yrs old. I have to use magnifier to read ingred. The print is too light in color to read .I am referring to the Best Mug Cakes Ever Book. It would have been nice if the nutritional values were given for those who are watching their calorie intake. The book seems to have great recipes for one. Can hardly wait to make the 1 cup cakes.
