Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this blanket This product is -without a doubt- this BEST blanket ever! I read other reviews and can't understand why everyone didn't give this product 5 stars! I don't think this blanket is thick! And, do you remember earlier electric blanket? Those were either thick or too thin forcing you to feel those stiff wires. Not this fabulous blanket! Soft, great weight. I love not only the easy controls, but the function options. Pre-heat is a dream! Self shut off..... Come on people.....10 stars if I could. (would like more colors. A soft/baby pink would be nice).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not right for me The description of soft and velvety is very accurate.. too much so.. It is very heavy and slippery. As others have stated, it does not stay put on the bed and must constantly be rearranged. I don't think it is as warm as other heated blankets. And the drying instructions are a total pain, as I like to wash my blankets weekly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeping, but it has a couple of drawbacks... I bought a twin and a full size in this blanket. Firstly, I can positively say that it is of quality, plush material, not too light, but not extremely heavy either. The wires aren't uncomfortable and the controls are easy to operate and figure out. On the other hand, the representative on air didn't mention the fact that you cannot tuck the blanket under the top mattress and it needs to lay over the bedding instead. (Although you can see it on video, and I failed to notice.) This feature has a problem in that the blanket itself tends to shift and you'll find yourself having to adjust it frequently if you are an "active sleeper." I called Berkshire about this and their customer service recommended placing another thin blanket under the heated one to keep it from shifting. I personally think that this would add more weight to your bedding and defeats the purpose of a premium grade blanket. Nevertheless, I am keeping the blankets with the hope that a thin blanket underneath will help solve the shifting problem..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too cozy.... :-( Blanket was a bit heavy weighted. It also kept shifting off my top sheet and I had to keep getting up to rearrange it, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. I also don't understand why there are two controls for a full size. A full size is usually for one person. Again, I had to get up and connect the second control to get even heating in the center. Plus: The fabric is beautiful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from On the Fence First the Pros: This is a quality blanket. It is soft and plush and heats very evenly. It is a very thick blanket (actually two blankets sewn together with the wires in between). Even with the thickness of the blanket you can feel the wires but they are thinner and less noticeable than my older electric blanket. The cons: The blanket is HEAVY and it is probably too heavy for my personal comfort. Also, in my opinion the only way to wash this will be in the really heavy duty commercial machines at a laundry mat, and yet they tell you not to dry it in a commercial dryer! Also a bit odd that there are two distinct heat zones and controls for the Full size. Most companies realize nowadays only one person sleeps in a full size bed. The deal breaker for me is probably the heaviness though. IF you live in a cold climate and keep your house chilly at night and don't mind a heavier blanket with some weight over you - this may be a great choice.
