Behmor 1600 Plus Customizable Drum Coffee Roaster is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Roaster I was not sure if I would like this machine or not. I thought it odd that only one person reviewed the Behmor roaster. However, that reviewer was dead on. I am new to roasting my own and there is a learning curve but plenty of helpful youtube videos. I roast weekly with the Behmor roaster. I simply love this machine. Being able to have better quality roasted coffee is wonderful. I have sent my roasted beans to others who've enjoyed it immensely. There is an auto shut off safety feature you must reset to keep the machine from going into cool down. This may be annoying to some but I don't mind that I have to sit with the machine while roasting. I forgot once and it shut off before my beans were done. I simply roasted them again instead of throwing them out. They were just as good and make a great espresso. I think the Swiss use a double roasted method. I have noticed that the roasting times do very depending on many factors like temperature, weight, humidity, power being drawn through out the house. You can roast manually or use pre-programmed settings. I have not done the manual mode yet because the programmed settings work for the small batches of coffee I roast. So its a small donation of my time to have the freshest coffee. I have been able to reach many roast levels. I always preferred and dark vienna or french roast. Being able to purchase green coffee beans from other countries and experiment has been fun. I have found the darker the roast you lose the natural flavor of the beans. So now I do a lighter roast and its so good. I clean the machine regularly as suggested after every fifth roast. No problems or issues still roasting. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to roast their own beans. This is not a set it and walk away roaster. This is an awesome roaster and if you don't mind being hands on actively engaged with the machine then buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST HAVE for serious coffee drinkers Bought mine many months ago to replace my worn out I-Roast air roaster. So much better After some serious product research The Behmore 1600 plus was the hands down best one. The Behmore 1600 Plus is the only affordable roaster on the market that can roast up to 1lb of raw coffee beans. My old air roaster could only roast 1 dry cup at a time With the Behmore 1600 Plus you can roast 1/4lb 1/2lb or 1lb. This new model has a upgraded control panel that makes roasting coffee easy for beginners or experienced coffee roasters. Control panel Profiles take the guess work out of "how to Roast coffee beans" The instruction manual lists all the types of coffee beans Central America, South American, African , Islands #Samatra Hawaii Jamaica etc# Hard beans ,soft beans ,larger beans , pea beans they have pretty much tell you what buttons to push for that particular type of bean. I made up a reference chart that takes ALL the guess work out making the best freshest coffee you can get. Note Let the freshly roasted beans rest for 36 to 48 hours for full flavor You can also customize your roasts too #after you become accustom to roasting beans# The only thing you can't do is save your roast settings. Green coffee beans are a lot cheaper than coffee shop roasted coffee beans and fresher than already roasted coffee beans in the grocery store so The behmore 1600 Plus will pay for itself with the money you save on purchasing green beans over roasted beans #plus the taste is night and day#. With the 6 easy pays it's a no brainer to purchase this fine machine.
