It is a very pretty birdfeeder but the string is not that strong, it broke after the first day due, However I was able to fix with another string, but lost some of the beads. Wish instead of a plastic string they would had used maybe a metal wired.

I purchased three of these plates on clearance and I must say that I could find these at the Dollar Store.
The "gems" are plastic and the plate is pretty cheap looking.
On a positive note, the idea of a plate bird feeder is a cute and practical idea.

So beautiful, amazing piece shipped very nicely. You will want alll the colors. I got the green going back for yellow and pink. Great gifts for close friends!

I decided to try putting orange slices on this little feeder for Orioles. Success!

I bought the green one for myself and the blue one as a gift for my sister, she loves dragonflies. Thought I would be using it as a water dish for the birds based on reviews saying there was no drain hole. Well the minute I poured water into the plate, it immediately drained out at the 3 sites that the beads hook onto the plate! So those reviewers must not of used their plates before posting their reviews. Mine is working out quite nicely now with bird seed on it. I have watched American gold finches, red house finches, and black capped chickadees feeding from it the past 3 days! Very pretty bird feeder.

I hadn't seen this item presented on air but came across it while checking out other items. The bird feeder arrived today and I found it to be simply lovely. I ordered the butterfly in yellow. The butterfly looks very nice = not cheap, the beads have a hint of yellow color, and the plate is large enough to hold my small Hoya plant. I kept looking at it and smiling. I was so happy that I ordered my dearest friend one.

Unless you live in a year-round warm-weather climate that gets little rain I would advise against purchasing-even at the reduced price. I live in the Northeast and this "birdfeeder" and the bird seed was typically soaked and a mess. Thought about then just using it to hold water but it is shallow and the birds weren't interested. Also, this is not a colored glass plate but clear glass. After weathering for a year the color is no more so not even nice to look at just hanging in the tree....errrr

It looks little girlish and I wish they would've put a hole in the middle so that it would drain...pretty though.
