Rated 5 out of 5 by Book Worm Great quality and feels so amazingly soft.
The Calypso Wrap is quality made. The fabric drapes in such a way that is flattering to most figures. I am a small. A friend of mine also ordered this same wrap. She is a large. Both of us get lots of compliments on this wrap from co-workers and friends. The fabric is very soft and feels amazing. When wearing the wrap, I am con- stantly touching the material. It is like wearing your favorite throw, but much nicer. I love this wrap!

This is my second Barefoot Dreams purchase and I remain on the fence about this brand in a way I'm unused to. What some reviewers have said is true, the material they use is absolutely chenille. I have both this wrap card I and the striped poncho in the original teddy bear fabric and I wear them both constantly but they're chenille. They're a nicer chenille. This cardigan has the tightest chenille weave I've ever seen, its both a thin fabric with a lot of heft and warm ao that even though it's thin it is not thin or light. Its incredibly soft though not really sure the softness matches the price point of this brand in either material. I love that this has rayon so that even though its warm it has a cool hand to it.
I normally wear a small in QVC, I tend to be a 6-8 in dept store brands, 5'7 148 pounds but I sized up in this since many reviews of this brand say the arms run very small and tight and I'm always a lil pudgy in the arms. I should of gotten the am/med because the l/xl is too loose, especially after it stretches a bit. The price point for this brand is entirely I believe based on the brand name itself and they're higher end design details (more muted, streamlined, highly neutral). However I'm not loving the fit but I was prepared for that based off the model photos of this cardi and other chic lite cardis. They make your arms and shoulders look wider based on the material and where the seams hit. I have lots of fly front cardigans and this brand is the only one that lays this way. I think at this price point they need to consider fit much better. I do love the way this brand feels and often sleep with my pieces to snuggle however I think if you have the time you could easily find pieces at a lower price point that are well designed and as soft but for me I'l likelyl keep buying some of their products to save time. I probably won't buy any blankets though they're softer than Berkshire type ones because for something that is by no means heirloom quality I can't justify this price point for a blanket. And also due to laundry care restrictions. You must follow the instructions to a T. Apply no heat at all to these fabrics or they will no longer be soft. If I accidentally apply heat to high end linens its not the end of the world but one round in the dryer on low heat and you'll lose the softness, I just don't have the time or money to waste being so careful with a sweater or blanket. If this brand was nkrw reasonably priced I'd like buy everything they have to offer but for now will likely stick to clearance items and TSV's.

I LOVed this from the moment I saw it, but have been sticking to a tighter budget these days. Finally with a reduced price AND easy pay I jumped in. We moved to the country (Smoky Mountains) and our little ranch can get a bit cold. We won't turn the heat above 65 because it is very wasteful to heat the whole house, so we supplement with space heaters, have not fired the wood stove yet. So it is a bit chilly and I am always wrapping a blanket over myself, yes even in menopause. This is SO soft and I just love it, but it has a certain fashionista flair that says wear me out of the house too! If you like soft cozy snuggly don't listen th the haters, grab yours before they are gone.

Bought this as a gift and it did not look right, very baggy and the arms too tight. Size 1X taupe stripes. Yes, very soft, but too expensive for what it is.

Where's the quality control QVC brags about all the time? The right upper sleeve is SO tight it actually hurt my arm after wearing it for 10 minutes. The left sleeve is twice the size. For this price....it should have been perfect. I returned it of course.

I have several of this brand of sweaters and have purchased a few for favorite people. Mine have "worn" well and still look great. The sleeves are stretchy but designed to be fitted which is a style that I prefer. The stripe pattern in taupe is a fun look and I have enjoyed wearing it even though I usually don't wear stripes.

I bought the taupe in the small/medium for my fashion blogger sister-in-law for Christmas and she loved it so much she wore it the next day. She is a 5'7" size 6-8 and it fit her perfectly. She is a huge fan of all things soft and cozy and she was thrilled with the texture. The colors were truly neutral and were adorable with a white tee and olive pants.
I bought another style from Barefoot Dreams for my best friend for Christmas. She's 5'11" and the large was just the right fit. She's also a fashionista and she had a fit over the beautiful, rich color (purple) and the amazing texture. Neither my sister-in-law nor my friend had any of the shedding problems mentioned in some previous reviews.
I'll be back to buy more Barefoot Dreams...one for my Mom and one for me and I can't recommend this line highly enough!

When I saw this on clearance I decided to order it due to all the hype surrounding Barefoot Dreams. This is nothing but chenille and I hate chenille. It's going back tomorrow. If you like Chenille you can find it for much cheaper just about anywhere so save your money. Sorry Oprah.
