Barbara Bixby Sterling/18K Rutilated Quartz Doublet Drop Earrings is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exquisite Earrings I am already a fan of all of Barbara's pieces, but can rarely afford them. I was shocked to see these earrings were being offered at a clearance price, so I grabbed them, & I'm so glad I did. I don't wear a lot of silver jewelry, but these earrings can easily be worn with gold pieces, as they appear two-tone, with the golden rutiles in the stone, the gold accents, & the pyrite at the bottom. They are a perfect size, & as usual with Barbara's pieces, the quality is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerhouse The combination of these stone energys is noticeable. One clears the body's energetic field, another is for abundance, and the third is grounding. But even without all that they are beautiful earings. The pair I got has lots of gold rutile. Barbara achieved her cool new neutral earring. Pendant please....;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauties Knew right away that this style was for me. I have worn them on a regular basis as they are a great neutral. I love the idea of the rutilated quartz. Mine is a little dark but in some light you can see the rutile needles. I have gotten lots of compliments when worn. I am very happy with this purchase. Also goes well with alot of her all metal pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Earrings ❤️ I love that they actually do not weigh my ear piercings down or annoy me while I’m multitasking. The earrings have enough drape, they’re very pretty and I’m happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile I bought these earrings on a wim and I'm really glad I did! The hook is a tiny bit too thick, however I quickly got used to them. They are very comfortable and because the color is neutral, I'll be able to wear them with anything! Another hit by Barbara Bixby!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but too Light Having read many reviews of Barbara Bixby jewelry where customers complained they were too heavy I’d like to offer the opposite opinion. These earrings are beautiful but I fear that Barbara is responding to those complaints in the extreme. I have probably 40 pairs of Bixby earrings and these are almost too lightweight. What I love about this line is the substance and weight. When I purchase her jewelry I can feel its value and significance. It’s not inexpensive but I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. I love the style and design of these and I adore rutilated quartz. However, the wires are very thin and I’m afraid I won’t be able to tell if these were to slip out of my ears...they’re that light. I have much smaller Bixby earrings that are weightier. I’ll have to think about whether such lightweight earrings are worth almost $200 with shipping and tax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chic Mystique I could not agree more with the first two reviews and would like to add that the french wires are very comfortable, just right for the average piercing size. I noticed that when the light hits the earrings, it makes a straight line of light from the top to the dancing pyrite dangling at your jawline. Elongating, eye-catching but subdued. Lovely for just about any busy day or evening. I have a black velvet shawl with a french lace edge and plan to wear these for an evening out with my hubby.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I hesitantly bought these, but glad I did. Rutilated Quartz is a mostly clear stone that has filaments or "needles"running through it and no two stones are exactly alike. Still, I wanted my pair to be similar. The stones in my earrings are a very good match. She created these as a doublet and backed the quartz with a darker stone so that the golden-beige needle-like filaments would stand out a bit. On my pair they do stand out enough to see quite well. The 18K gold accents on my pair is very deep and not as bright as the photo suggests - but I did not buy these to be two-toned earrings. The pyrite bead at the bottom is more of a silvery tone than a gold tone but it has a lot of flash.
