Rated 1 out of 5 by Not That Good I purchased this with the hopes of having people over for a BBQ with a twist. Well my first thought is that unless you make thin crust pizza your pizza will come out doughy. Secondly, if you get cheese on the pizza stones, good luck trying to get it off. The inside of my oven is a burnt on mess with no luck in getting it clean. Sorry to say but this is going back. Unfortunately I can't clean it so it has to go back as is. Wanted to like it, but just didn't work out. 07-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Poor QVC presentation - Good Pizza Oven I purchased this pizza oven while watching In The Kitchen With David and I don't think enough time was spent covering areas of interest. First, it took my husband and I 20 minutes to assemble this item. Nothing was mentioned about assembly, or cleaning the oven, which turns out is easy as you just burn off the excess food. Should have been covered during the airing. We put this oven to one side in our gas grill -using three out of five burners to heat it. Heating took about 15 minutes, and in order to save on propane, we closed the grill lid for about five minutes. It is recommended you do NOT close the grill but I think that applies while cooking. Again, this was not clear during the presentation. Once the grill reaches the "flame emblem" - or its peak heating, I recommend lowering the gas flame (heat). The pizza with an "original" crust (versus thick or thin) did take about three minutes but you will need to rotate the pizza every 30-45 seconds (or basically twice) as described in the booklet. It cooks fast and the high flames will burn on the bottom of the crust if heat is too hot, or the flame is at its highest. After our first attempt - and burnt crust, the second pizza was perfect. I do think another "turner" would be useful and I will try to find one. We are very happy with this purchase and will use it a lot. 07-01-16
