I was bummed to learn this is no longer available. In today's techno-savy world we have many easier ways to do the things we love...PCs/Macs, cells, smartphones, Mp3s, and tablets etc! My mother...a young 61...loves to read but with more and more book stores disappearing due to the world of technology booming i wanted to get her an e-Reader. However, my mother is far from tech savy...she can barely use the cell we make her carry (in case she needs us...there is always a risk of fall or illness with an older parent and mine had a stroke a few years back). So when this came up on EZ pay i snatched it up and gave her an "I love you mom thanks for everything" present :-D I have wifi with our laptop and cells so we downloaded some books and she was enjoying Stephen King' s the Stand once more...this time from the ease of her Nook. She brags to her gfs at Red Hat and Senior Center and church...she is a trip. Now I want one...this one...since I have no need for a tablet with the laptop and smart phone i lug around....but it is no longer available. Looks like I am borrowing moms!!!!

Love my NOOK
I was not sure which to buy, so I read the reviews for this one. I am so glad I purchased the Nook Sinple Touch! It is so easy to set up and use. I have already purchased several books and read a few. This is one of my best purchases and now I can get back into reading, this is so light and small, dont have to hold pages back anymore to read. The only draw back is I wish it had an internal light. I will be purchasing one since it is alittle dark at night, but for now i sit by a lamp and it works fine.

Love this Nook
I bought this Nook for my daughter's birthday. This is the 2nd Nook she's owned and she loves this one more than the last. The touchscreen was an added bonus. If you're looking for an inexpensive e-reader that also has access to the internet, this is a perfect choice!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Love my new Nook. Bought two. One for me and one for my husband,who loves his too.We both have Pan Digitals with all the bells and whistles and just used them to read. Plus they are heavy and the battery charge doesn't last very long. The Nook Simple Touch is easy to use, very lightweight and has a 40 hour battery charge. Didn't have to pay for features we won't use. Highly recommend if you simply want to read and don't need or want the fancier stuff. Great purchase, and with the easypay, you can't go wrong!

Love the Nook!
After keeping tote upon tote of paperback and hardback books, I made the decision to purchase the Nook. I'm glad I did. Having something that is easy to hold and use has proven to be well worth the investment. It has also allowed me to increase my storage space by letting all of my books go. Even if you are a person that loves to hold and feel a book in your hand I believe you will come to love the Nook as I have. I would also like to add how convenient it is to shop and purchase the books right from your home and have them available to read. Perfect!

I'm in LOVE!
This is an EXCELLET product - just right for reading anywhere, very light and easy to use - with a super long battery life too! Works great with the cover, and this deal cannot be beat for the price either! I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who likes to read a little or a lot!

Best choice for me
I researched the top choices for ereaders and decided on the Nook Simple Touch.
It is easy to understand and keeps me from having to run to the library, etc.
I am disappointed in the cover...I thought it would hold the Nook tightly but it is kind of useless.

Good Product, however.....
Although the description mentions wireless capability, nowhere does it state that this is the only way to connect with this eReader. You would think that the included USB cable would allow for a connection other than wireless, but sadly, that is not the case. So, instead of my mother getting to enjoy the gift that her children got her, we had to wait and purchase a router. This is still a good product but had I known that I would be forced to purchase a router, I would have selected a different eReader.

Love this should get more than 5 stars
I never write reviews but I ordered the nook color when it was the TSV of the day and the E Reader was part of the deal. I absolutely love this E reader it goes everywhere with me. I hardly use the nook color, I do enjoy it though when I do.
As far as who this would be a perfect gift for. ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE!!!!!! who likes to read.

Nook Simple Touch
I received the Simple Touch on the 3rd of April. It is now a month later and I still love it. This reader is perfect for me. I sent back the Nook Color that I ordered last year, because I thought it was too complicated, but this one is perfect. The type size and backlight are good for my old eyes and it is not complicated to operate. I was able to set it up fairly easily and I transferred the ePub books that I had accumulated with my previous eReader (Sony Reader). I ordered the night light for it from Barnes & Noble and can now read without a light on. YAY! Price was reasonable and there have been no glitches. (I also ordered the 3-year protection plan, just in case). I highly recommend this one!
