Love the bag - the color not so much!
I ordered the goldenrod and based on the photo expected a yellow bag. The bag is more mustard in color and although I love the bag and am keeping it, I would have been happier if the color swatch was more accurate.
This is a BIG bag and the drop is nice and long to wear over coats, etc.

falling apart
I purchased this in brandy..love the styla and leather but the bindings at the bottom of each strap keep falling down and white shows...makes it look cheap.For the price you expect it to last and put together better than this...sorry Bruce...no more.

Straps fray repeatidly
I love this bag, it is the exact bag for me, structurally, what I need for form, and function, BUT, the straps keep fraying, where the leather wraps around the straps to join two parts together. The leather strapping slips, showing white under cloth and fraying. I have returned the bag and ordered a replacement twice after this defect happened and each one (three bags in all) continued to fall apart where the straps are joined and wrapped by the leather strapping. Finally, I brought it to a leather shop and had the strapping stitched down.
Can't Bruce do something about the quality of the strapping. This bag would be a 6 star bag if the straps did not fall apart. When one is paying almost $300 for a bag, you do not expect the straps to consistently fall apart. Bruce, PLEASE fix this defect and come out with new exciting colors and you will have me purchasing more of this bag over and over again, but not with it's current defect, I am sad to say.
And I am sad to say that I cannot find a bag with one piece straps that has the terrific size and layout that this bag has. I want this bag with one piece straps, can this be done????

My Favorite B. Bag!
I have never written a review before but I am so thrilled with this bag, I had to write about it. I own about five Bruce bags and I love all of them, but this one is so perfect for every day use. I love a long drop under my arm and this bag delivers. The leather is so soft andt very light to carry because there is so little hardware. The straps stay on my shoulder, they do not slide down, which is always a pet peave of mine. I purchased the goldenrod for spring and summer. I will save my money to buy this in black and brown. The search is over. This one is a keeper!

This is the bag for me!
Bruce, this is the perfect bag for me. My husband and I each have 2 jobs and organization is a must. While i am driving, I can actually find things without taking my eyes off the road. I already own 2 of these and am waiting until next month to buy my third. The second best thing about this purse is the weight of the purse. I have been using another designer bag; using the exact same contents in both purses guess which purse feels lighter in weight? This one of course!

PERFECT FOR ME
I agree that this style and size is the perfect bag. I ordered the brandy, because out of all of Bruce's colors, this is the most useable for my life. It's not too big and it's very soft. The inside is perfect. The center zip pocket is not so big it gets in the way. The straps are soft and cling to my shoulders instead of slipping off...I love his soft leather straps. The drop is perfect and the fact that it does not have alot of hardware, makes it much lighter than some of his other bags. Check out the weight of this bag in the discription!. I have one other of BM's bag I purchased in a well known store. It's the pewter color. Between these two bags I don't need any others. I plan to use the brandy every day, and the pewter when I want to dress things up a bit. The bag does puddle when you lay it down, so I lay it down on it's side...but it's a small price to pay for the beauty and softness...

Leather Love !
My first B Makowsky bag and WOW what a bag! I got it in Claret. Love the size love the leather. I just want to feel and smell the leather all the time. Having a horsemanship background I learned to tell excelent quality leather by touch and smell and this bag passes the test! Thankyou Bruce.

LOVE IT!!!
I have this bag in Navy, Brandy, and Goldenrod! It really is an awesome bag. The leather is amazing, as well as the structure and functionality of the bag. I love the colors, I just wish this bag was offered in one of the lighter brown colors ( I like Vachetta). The colors I have are gorgeous though. The Goldenrod is and excellent summer bag...it's not as bright as it appears for those of you hesitant to buy it. I was hesitant about that color at first also, but I absolutely love it. I really can fit so much into this bag without it looking too full. I can even fit a little thing of wipes, 2-4 diapers, and sippy cup or two for my kids so I don't have to carry a diaper bag into places if I don't want to. I really can't say enough good things about this bag...I LOVE it!

It does not get any better!!!!!!!
I got his bag in the navy and I was amazed... It is without a doubt the best leather and nicely designed bag I own... And I own many many many!!!! I love that it holds a lot without looking stuffed. I love how it hang close to the body when on my shoulder. I love the color... but any and all of the colors are nice. I resisted at first... let's face it ...It isn't cheap... But ladies if you ever want just the perfect bag this is it.

Best B Mak bag ever
I have many of Bruce's bags! This hobo is the best ever! It is so light, even with my stuff in it! I love the non-structured straps! Love the big outside pocket, and that the hardware is minimal. Can't say enough!! Bruce, please bring us this bag in many, many more colors! I like your muted greens and yellows(do not like the goldenrod offered). Not much of a bright colored handbag gal. Thank you Thank you again
