Fabulous. Love it.
I love almost everything about this bag. The purple is gorgeous and saturated. The leather is soft. Has feet which will protect it. The hardware is very rich looking. The only modification I would make it that I wish the long strap was detachable.

Too soft for what I need
This is a lovely bag, with the possible exception of the straps, which seem to be of a lesser-quality leather. I decided that I need/want something with more structure that doesn't sag in the middle when I have stuff in it; otherwise, it's a very nice satchel.

ROYAL/PURPLE
This bag has the exact shape and size you would need as a briefcase but is a lot more fashionable. Will accomodate papers, cables, ipads/pods and mold closely to the body as it is not as wide at the bottom like most of the B Mak hobos. It's a truly oversized satchel that's narrower in width. The handles are sewn directly to the body of the bag, so I'll pack this more lightly than I normally do. No problem, I am glad I got this in the royal and am hoping it will match a recent TSV jacket I ordered for the spring. Tho it's a gorgeous bag, handles on B Maks are always reinforced, and then some, not depending on the strength of the body of the bag-- hence the one star off. Just have to be a little careful with it and I'd recommend carrying it by the longer strap, not the handles.

Beautiful tote
I got this on clearance in the vanilla. It is darker and more of a taupe then shown on air. I like it better then the brighter color it appeared to be, but it definitely is not a vanilla. It's a big bag, which is what I wanted. I prefer east/west totes and satchels and this fits the bill. I was concerned as other reviews stated they had issues with the python print wearing off, but it's just so pretty I'm going to take a chance. The long strap isn't quite as long as I like for a cross body, but fine for over the shoulder. I do wish the shorter handles would fold down when carried that way.
I have about 15 BMaks and love them all...

Beautiful Bag, but!!
This bag is absolutely beautiful, but it had to be returned!! I have been contemplating purchasing this bag for a long time, and I finally did. I carried it for a short while, and finally decided that the shoulder handles are great when carrying it on my shoulder, but as soon as I use it as a crossbody, the handles are completely in the way!! If the handles laid flat to the bag when not in use, the bag would be perfect. If I'm going to spend $200 on a bag, it must be perfect!! I am so sad to send it back, but back it goes.

great bag but....
I bought this bag in the royal/purple. It's a great size to carry all my stuff, but it's a pretty vivid color, so don't be surprised by that. I loved the snakeskin on the bottom and the straps, but that's where the problem is. I used this bag for about a month (just long enough that I can't send it back) and the shiny surface of the snakeskin is wearing off, leaving some pretty tired-looking leather underneath. I expected a little wear on the handles, but it's wearing off everywhere there's snakeskin, even the parts I never touch. To spend this much money on a bag that now looks a few years old it just unacceptable. I bought another suede B. Makowsky bag and when it came it had snakeskin trim and I had to send it back. I also miss the animal print lining.

Had to send back
When I received this bag I was surprised at the size. I have a similar one that is not as large. Although I loved this bag, I decided to send it back. I am only 5' tall and it just looke rediculous on me. That's just my opinion. I recommend this bag for anyone over 5'4". I give this a high score because it is beautiful.

Amazing Bag!
I got the caramel and vanilla because I couldn't decide. Both are beautiful but I really shouldn't keep both. I need a purse intervention! The leather is quality and it has just enough python to make it classy and casual. I'm petite so it's bigger than I like for an everyday purse but it is buttery soft and kind of molds to your body so it doesn't look over the top - is also a great work bag. The shoulder straps work perfect for me, don't like crossbody so won't use that feature.

Obnoxious Color
I purchased this bag in the Royal/Purple combo and it was so far over the top with purpleness that the girls at work and I all felt it was too obnoxious to carry. There is nothing "Royal" about it! As far as being able to be worn crossbody, I disagree. The strap was simply too short. Back it went. So disappointing!

Amazing bag!!! In love!!

Are these even real B. Makowsky bags?
someone has made a bad decision when it came to the lining in these bags. I own more than my share of B. Makowsky bags, but I definitely will not be buying one without animal print lining!
