Authentic Gourmet (48) French Made Butter Croissants
These really are a wonderful indulgence. I purchased them to have for holidays and Christmas Breakfast. Guests we had stay over or have breakfast with us during the holidays absolutely loved them! The only problem is keeping them around!
For those having problems with them falling flat, there are 2 critical things you must do. First, when laying them out on the tray there is a right way and a wrong way. The glazed side MUST face up. It says so in the instructions but is easily overlooked.. Second, do NOT open the oven at anytime during baking. Of course higher altitudes have to make adjustments as normal, but I cooked 48 of them (can't believe that! but thats how good they are!) and didnt have a single issue with any of them.
I was skeptical about how good these would be. I'm so glad I tried them. They're delicious!! Will definitely order again in the future.
I hesitated for years...
...to buy these croissants. Although tempting, they always seemed an extravagant splurge. I am SO happy I finally ordered them. They are beyond delicious and are the Real Deal (!), having had croissants while in Paris. These are beautiful in their presentation; they puff up huge and glorious, are a thing of beauty to behold and - even better - the aroma in your kitchen will make you salivate! They are easy to store (take up very little space in your freezer as they are super flat), take only about 25 minutes in the oven... I don't even use the parchment they suggest and they come out perfect anyway. I figured it out and it's only $2 each and - I promise you - that is a very reasonable price for the quality you are getting! Don't hesitate! And QVC please continue to bring these to your customers!
Just Like In France
Having eaten fresh croissants in France last summer these are wonderfully close to the ones we had!!!
These croissants are wonderful...so delicious. When we ran out, I went back to the pre-baked croissants from the grocery store, and my husband said he could really tell the difference. For the people who say they fall flat, here is what I have discovered....bake them on parchment paper and make sure you bake them long enough. If you don't use parchment paper and you don't bake them long enough, you will have problems with them falling flat. The price and the extra effort make these a treat that my husband and I enjoy on special occasions, weekends, etc.
Mmm, mmm, good.
I took one reviewer's advice and tried the 400 degrees/27 minutes baking advise, and it did work; however, since my gas oven seems to run hot, I changed it to 24/25 minutes at 400 degrees, and it works well.
Even tho I think the 48 are expensive, I do understand what is involved in bringing these to market, so I am happy to pay. They are that good.
I just take them out of the oven, no butter, no jam, no nothing and eat them just the way they are, and they are so good. Very light, crispy, and plump.
I am happy I bought the 48 because over a dozen are almost gone, and I live alone! LOL
Bestest of the best
This is my fourth purchase. Had company on Sunday and her request was to take a dozen [frozen] home with her. We had six persons for dinner and made 15 croissants and they were all gone. You can never make too many. This product deserves 10 stars.
Gourmet French Croissants
These were so much bigger than the minis and they were out of this world. I could not believe how fabulous they were. My neighbors son ate 6 of them for Thanksgiving and said they were the best. There is nothing like these to make everything else seem second rate.
These are soooooo good. Not cheap, but very very good. Have not had any problem with mine being flat after baking like some others. I have had two shipments and can't complain other than they cost a lot but some things are worth it. I will warn you - you can get addicted to them very fast!
worst food product
I wish I would of returned these. They go flat once out of the oven. I did just like the instructions said and they still go flat.
Best of the Best
This was the first food item I've ever purchased from QVC. The product was delious. It was so easy to prepare . I was very wary about making this purchase, but would I purchase this again you bet your boots. I first fixed 10 for dinner and everyone really enjoyed them. Later that evening my husband came back into the kitchen and wanted another one I told him they were all eaten. He was visible upset . I popped 4 more into the oven 25 minutes later I had a very happy husband. It deserves the highest rating
Outstanding! Bet you can't eat just one!
After about a year of "should I or shouldn't I" I finally gave in and ordered these French Butter Croissants. A little pricey? Maybe, but worth every penny. So wonderfully delicate/crisp on the outside, so soft and buttery-tender inside. My family loved them. I did do an oven temp and time adjustment. 375 degrees instead of 350, and 25 minutes to 30 tops. Seems cooler days required a few minutes more. At 350, they didn't puff up enough. I used those silicone bake sheets. Haven't tried them yet on a regular metal bake sheet. Gotta run...need to order some more for the up-coming holidays!
