Dry Ice Info

This item will arrive within 2 days of shipping. Each package is shipped in Dry Ice, ensuring the contents will arrive cold and ready for storage in your freezer.

What is Dry Ice?

Dry Ice is another term for solid carbon dioxide. You know that carbon dioxide ("CO2") is the gas we exhale every time we breathe. When CO2 gas is compressed, it changes to CO2 solid.

Why do we use Dry Ice?

Dry Ice is very cold. In fact, its surface temperature is approximately -110°F, much colder than regular ice, which has a surface temperature of 32°F. Because Dry Ice is so cold, it is an excellent refrigerant to keep perishable food products cool until they arrive to you, the customer.

Why wasn't any Dry Ice remaining when my package arrived?

Dry Ice has special properties that are much different than regular ice. This is due to the chemical differences between water and CO2. Ice will melt to liquid and then evaporate as a gas. Dry Ice skips the liquid phase and changes from a solid directly to a gas. This change is called "sublimation." The dry ice used in the food products we offer usually lasts between 24 to 36 hours. Since we ship our products in 2 days, it is common for little or no dry ice to remain by the time you receive your package. However, your food will still be cold - ready to be put right in your freezer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Soooooo yummy I have purchased fresh baked croissants that haven't tasted as good as these. Have never had problems with baking them or not turning golden brown. So nice to take out a few from the freezer and have fresh baked croissants with my coffee without having to leave the house. They're also cheaper and taste better than that famous coffee shop. This is my second order and will continue to purchase these in the future. 07-19-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love this product I purchase these regularly. They are every good as the very best French bakery croissants. I use them for company, special occasions, For a special morning treat, and to share with others. 07-13-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST EVER. Worth every penny. The best ever. They pop out of the oven and are just beautiful and big. They taste as good as they look. Will definitely reorder these. 05-18-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ooh la la! These were amazing. I first tasted them at my cousin's house and then came and bought the first shipment. We've been hooked since. They aren't something we have every day but because they are frozen and don't need to defrost before baking, they are something that can make a "normal" day into something special. I don't review a lot of items, but this is one of those that you will want to try. 04-27-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yummy These are wonderful right out of the oven. Makes a great sandwich or with your coffee right out of the oven for breakfast. 04-14-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Ever! I was a skeptic, but no more. These are the best ever. So flakey and buttery. Just be sure to follow the directions exactly. No peeking in the oven before they are ready, and use parchment paper. The results will be worth it. Just like in Paris! 04-10-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute Excellence; Guests Will Drool I've been serving these croissants for quite a while. They are just the very best. I think everyone shoud try to get them adjusted to each individual over. I use parchment paper. My guests literally drool over them. I love to stuff them with homemade chicken salad or ham salad (made only with Virginia ham, homemade pickle and Dukes mayo, of course). I live alone so while I love to serve these to guests, I don't ever neglect myself. Ol' John can't get by with less than three and my waistline can prove it! 03-31-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by Packaging! After having lived in France for several years, I was so excited to try these croissants! I have to say they taste incredible, so much better than the store bought ones! BUT!! When we opened the package all 24 croissants were 1 big heap of dough! Impossible to seperate the croissants without defrosting them completly! Who wants to eat 24 croissants in 1 day? Please package them in batches of 5 or 6 or I won't be ordering them again! 03-27-16
