I have been looking for a lightweight jacket for the fall. I didn't want a stuffy blazer, an obvious outerwear piece or a short jacket where the hems of my longer tops hang out of the bottom. That is just not a look I like on my 61 year old body. This jacket is dressy enough to wear over a dress as well as go over jeans or pants. I am between M and L, pear-shaped and got the size L. The fit is good, not too large through the shoulders or big in the bust. The only problem is that the sleeves are too long and will have to hem them. I will also have the side pockets removed as they flop around and add bulk to the hips. The fabric is like a heavy liquid knit, kind of like a ponte knit. It is classy and I like it.

Okay, so I love the way it looked on the girls so I ordered all three colors and I read all of the reviews and given that everyone seemed to concur that there was far too much fabric or that the jacket was too large in their size I sized down to an XS from a S. Glad I sized down because I had enough fabric to play with but, not so much that it was swallowing me. There are pros and cons to this jacket. Cons: I don't know how they got that collar to stand but, there is no way in heck they did it without adding some sort of helper to it because the collar is just as limp as could be!. The piece across the top back that mimics the look of trench coats does lift a bit and will need to be tacked down and has nothing to do with the fit as the fit is fine and I have plenty of room in the jacket. The sleeves are too long and the jacket appears far more structured in the stock photo and in the presentation than it actually is. There is not front closure and there should be something even a hook and eye, which I will probably add (another reviewer pointed this and the upper back tack down out) Pros: It looks fabulous worn open with the belt tied in the back over a maxi dress or a top and long skirt if you leave the belt tied low and play with the fabric so that it has some flow to it - not pulled straight (needs movement. I also looks good with the belt tied to the side in the front or left open in the front with the belt super loose in the back or removed. This jacket gives an amazing optical illusion of slimming like you would not believe if you style it right and play around with the way you wear it. I am not happy with the price but if I consider the $71 I just paid for a SG short sleeve butter knit top and the most horrible cheap vest I have ever seen that is going right back for quality as I feel it is defective due to the lack of coloration (not saturation and the print on the vest is blurred and should not be) The amount of things I could wear two of the three jackets I bought for about the same price as that one awful top and vest combo, this is a way better buy and a bargain. This can be worn year round with dresses, pants, skirts, jeans etc. Hands down when I compared the two purchases, it was a no brainer which was staying and which was going back. The few flaws this has are easily fixed. The SG vest combo - sorry - there is no fix nor is there any excuse for that being sold to us the way it was made and especially for that price point. I more reviews to write tonight and unfortunately they will not be favorable for some. This one works for me so into the closet the go ;) Try the tricks I mentioned and you may change your mind - size down on this so you get less fabric - just check the garment measurement chart to be sure that the measurements will work for you before you select your size.... :) Reason for only three stars is versatility is the plus here - deducted one for the fact that this jacket does not pop the collar as shown in the presentation! and I will have to add helpers to fix design flaws that should have been addressed prior to manufacturing especially at the price point even at the clearance price it is too high.

I'm not sure how things can look good on TV but then so disappointing in real life. This has too much fabric, the pockets look bulky and for the price I paid, this really should fit better, it's just not as flattering as I thought it would be.

I should have known better. I don't care for this line of clothing but this jacket looked cute so I ordered it. The fabric is a heavy knit. I did know it was a knit but I didn't realize how heavy it was. Its just not anything like it was pictured. The color was different as well.
I can't really say anything about the fit, I didn't try it on because I didn't care for the fabric. Sent it back.

I ordered this in black for a dressy event. I'm 5'7" and usually take a 12, sometimes a 14 depending. I got the Medium, and it has plenty of room. Like another reviewer commented, lots of material, especially around the bottom. I like the material - its silky and flows around the body. However, the pockets are not tacked down on the inside, and will bunch up on the sides making a little bit of bulk I don't need. There is no snap, or hook closure in the front, which could help the line of the front of the jacket hang better. I might go back and add these 'helpers' myself. The 'trench' effect across the back shoulders is also loose and tends to stick away from the body, fyi. I considered returning this - fooled around with it far too long, trying to get it to hang just right. But...I think I'll keep it and make the adjustments described. Its different, its long, which I like, so will try to make it work.

I love the material of this jacket - very soft and comfortable although it is very thin. The bottom part of the jacket is rather voluminous and long with lots of fabric - a bit too much in my opinion. I debated about returning this garment, but have decided I am keeping it because I think it will be a good throw-on over pretty much anything.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous User Nice Trench Style Jacket
Received this yesterday. It is a nice, lightweight jacket. Like the "Trench" style on this jacket and that is the very reason I purchased it. Great idea. I am not familiar with this brands sizing. I ordered the Medium but it is way too big on me. I would like to exchange for the small, but am debating, as the shipping is costing me a fortune just to deliver, much less to have to return or exchange. It is a trendy jacket, and will work with anything from skirts, dresses, to jeans and leggings. Just have to remember the material is soft and not like a regular trench coat. There is some comfy stretch to it. Also feel the price is off. Should run in the $49 price range.

I saw this on Q.com. Looked cute and classic in tan. When I received it yesterday I was extremely disapointed. To me, it looked cheap and hung on me strange. It's going back today.
