These are so different, not everyone will have them. I would take them outside and open the box in a tray so to catch all the glitter.. I am putting mine on a large round mirrored tray and lights of Christmas will make these oh so glistening. I bought the silver and 2 white, all AS IS. Nothing wrong with these

Yes - the chunky sequins and clutter tend to fall off, and there is enough in the box to make a distinct rattling sound. The as is set that someone else had returned was especially full of glitter - I imagine from the first unpacking and then repacking. You'll want to unwrap them in a spot where it isn't hard to clean up. They do drop some additional glitter and sequins as you're placing them, as well, and I assume if you continue to move them around a lot, it will continue to some degree. All of that said, they don't actively shed, there is till plenty of the glitter/sequin mix that is permanently affixed, and they are beautiful. I have three sets: champagne (which really is a gold-tone, I think), silver, and green. I ordered them one after the other, so you can be sure I'd have stopped after the first set if the mess was unmanageable. I love the chunky texture and the sparkle, and these are very, very versatile. If sequins scattered about till you vacuum is going to upset you, definitely don't buy these. Otherwise, take advantage of the as-is price, get them, have the vacuum handy after you unpack them, and enjoy!

I purchased 3 sets last year and they are simply stunning but I wasn't able to get the white, so happy when I saw them again. What junk this year is, I'd say fifty percent of the embellishments were in the bottom of the box and they are totally crooked, hardly even stand up. Last year mine had very little fall off and were perfect, the difference between Lisa and Valerie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JaymeLee23 So beautiful and a GREAT deal! *Swoon* :)
I seen identical trees in a high end store last year and online. They were very expensive--selling for quite a bit of money per tree. Those ones didn't come in sets like the ones offered by Lisa Robertson/QVC. I kept checking on the department store trees that I feel in love with, hoping that they would go on discount after Christmas. However, they never did and sold out. I was pretty bummed but couldn't get past the prices.
Then I saw these trees offered by Lisa Robertson/QVC when they made their appearance in July. I held off on ordering them until reviews started coming in to help determine if I should buy them or not. I was hesitant that they wouldn't be the same quality as the ones that I seen last year. After reading mixed reviews, I decided to give them a try and bought the champagne and silver. The white was sadly not available during the purchase.
Well, the trees came today and they are just as beautiful as the ones that I seen that were so much more expensive! I knew what to expect when they came from reading the reviews -- messy. And you know what? They are VERY messy like others said but it wasn't that big of a deal. Here's why. I put an old plastic birthday tablecloth down on the floor before I took out the trees. I was careful about doing it in one spot to keep the glitter, beads, and sequins in a small pile. I then gently shook the box to get the rest out. and used an expired debt card to scoop up the loose stuff. I put the loose stuff in a ziplock bag in case I need them in the future. After that, I folded the plastic tablecloth up (there were a few sequins that stuck to the tablecloth) and took it outside, giving it a good shake. I repeated for the other set of trees.
I plan to put a piece of felt cut into a circle for each bottom so that the trees can sit and be moved around a little easier. I might cut a piece of cardboard then glue the felt or something similar to make little trays for them. That way there are no worries about dragging the beading on surfaces that could be scratched.
I will also figure out another way to store them. Sticking one tree inside the the other, even with using the protective bag doesn't seem like a great idea. A lot of beads came off when I initially took them apart from that position. I want this to last so I'll think of something.
I know that you are probably thinking that these trees sound like a lot of work to get out of the packaging and to deal with the loose beads, sequins, etc. They are worth it though! Like the finer, beautiful or fragile things in life, it's just part of the territory. I definitely recommend these trees -- a very good deal!

"My trees arrived and I am extremely happy with them. It says "As Is" but they were perfect. They look beautiful on my dining room table. I know some people have a problem with glitter on them, but if you have ever gone to Hobby Lobby you will know a lot of decorations have glitter on them at Christmas. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I unwrapped the package of trees outside and most of the glitter fell off then. Got these at such a great price."
