Very cute and versatile. I love it so much that I just bought three more of them! Even being as is, it was in great condition on arrival! Love, love, love!!

I bought two of these, as is, after Christmas. I took them out of the box for a quick check over, and tested the lights, but didn't fully fluff them out for official display. I didn't need to, because I fell in love with them immediately! Love, even as they shed flocking on EVERYTHING they were near....myself included. If that kind of thing bothers you, you should probably take a pass on this. I can't speak to the timer function, because I didn't leave them on that long. I did run through the light functions, and all worked perfectly, and are very versatile. Actually, as I unpacked them, they gave the impression they were new, with burlap bases in bubble wrap, sealed info sheets w/ extra lights, etc. Bottom line, I love these little trees! They have an airy, ethereal feel that I love, and a downright endearing quality of a little seedling. I adore these sweet, messy, charming little trees.

I was a little hesitant to buy an As Is tree, I was afraid there might be a problem with the lights, in fact I put the batteries in while it was still in the box so I wouldn't have to repack it if there was, but it lit up beautifully, even though it is only November 3rd I set it up and put it on the timer and tested it to be sure and it passed with flying colors. Please keep in mind I am reviewing the As Is version of this tree and have never seen the regular version so I can't say if there is much or any difference. First of all, the flocking sheds terribly, I had to get out the vaccum cleaner twice and every time I touch it it seems to shed more. Also the lights are placed oddly, too many of the same colors together. The branches seem to be made of plastic or something like it and some I just can't adjust, they seem to have a mind of their own which way they are going to go, so there are some odd bare spots, especially near the top and bottom, but I am planning to put some birds in nests ornaments on to fill in these areas when the time comes to display it. It may seem like there's a lot wrong, but if you aren't expecting perfection, if you want a sweet slightly pathetic little tree, I think you'll fall in love with this one, I know I did. I am also going to sit it in an antique basin I have, that will help minimize the flocking problem, and fill it with individually wrapped Christmas candies around the burlap base, this will also hide the rather clunky and obvious battery box. I also recommend if buying ornaments for this tree, make sure they aren't too heavy, I don't think the branches can bear much weight.
