Apple Master Peeler in Red with Slicer and Corer 3.6 5 54 54
Great peeler/corer !! My Honey was so impressed by this precious little gadget. And it looks nice too ! Kinda retro....He has been buying apples by the bushels and having a blast for himself. We have had apple everything with no end in sight. He would never eat an apple before because of the skin, now he is in apple heaven ! Thanks, he needed a new hobby anyways....LOL 12-10-12
I love this thing! I've had this a couple weeks now & have used it several times. There is a tad bit of a learning curve on using it.....but once you learn how to use it correctly it's WONDERFUL!! I have parrots & they love eating their apples that have been sliced on this. AND.....it CORES the apple WHILE SLICING IT! And peels it at the same time too....all 3 things it does in about 5 seconds! The only trick is to stick you apple into the prongs FIRST....and off you go. I also love the suction bottom.....no clamps! 10 stars! 11-07-12
dehydrating apples This peeler, slicer, corer works very well for me to prepare apples for dehydration. I wash the apples thoroughly and then put them through the machine without using the peeler. I then cut down one side of the apple, and that leaves round slices of apple perfect for putting in my dehydrator. Douse them in a lemon juice and water solution. I then sprinkle cinnamon and splenda on them before drying them, but this would not be necessary. All our friends like the end product. 11-06-12
Pretty Nifty and I love it!!!! I have had both peelers offered at the Q and I must say that I love them both, but I like this one the best. Once I set the peeler to the apple, I was on my way. I used three different kinds of apples for a pie and it worked beautifully. The lever that holds it to the counter is wonderful and very strong. Believe me, I have baked many pies of all kinds and this made it so much easier to get the apples ready for pie. I cooked the remainder of the apples for applesauce and they cooked so much faster. I usually quarter them, but I had them left over from the pie, so cooked them and they were ready by dinnertime. As it cools down, I intend to make apple butter and I am going to use this peeler. 11-04-12
This product is AMAZING!!! It's hard for me to peel apples and this thing just whipped right through it in no time. Peels, cores and slices it in just a couple of seconds. Easy clean up too. Price is fantastic. This is a must for every cook. A great little gift. 06-23-12
Broke after only being used 6-8 times I was so excited when I first bough it! Worked brilliantly until the tines of the fork that's meant to hold the apple in place broke off. Hadn't even had it a year, used it only a handful of times before it broke. 03-26-12
LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BETTER This is a very good idea and I wish it worked well but I find I spend more time setting it up than it saves me peeling the apples. The directions are very poor and you definitely need directions. CONS: Little or no directions; cannot peel and core without slicing the apple; unable to vary the size of the apple slices; overall not very useful. Will look for something that works better and put this into the garage sale. Someone will pay 50 cents. 03-19-12
Waste of Money Can't get the peeler to work. Directions not clear, product is a waste of time & money. 03-11-12
Don't bother This peeler worked great for about 1 week, then it wouldn't peel, the blades kept moving out of alignment and they wouldn't connect with the apple. It is a total piece of JUNK!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS. I got so frustrated with it I threw it in the garbage and grabbed my paring knife. Total and complete waste of money If I could give it a minus in stars, I would. 02-25-12
Very glad that I bought this!! I LOVE THIS PEELER!!! I was on the fence about buying this because of the negative reviews. I am SO glad I went ahead and purchased it. I use it for apples(usually Granny Smith but have used others) and potatoes and it works SO well. I hate the peeling process and this cuts time by way more than half. I don't think twice about making potatoes for dinner because they are peeled in a snap. I have an apple chopped up in my oatmeal almost daily, so I peel, core and slice it. When I am just eating an apple with some peanut butter, I just core and slice it. I use it all the time and would highly recommend it. 02-05-12
Directions hard to understand The directions of adjusting the blade needs to be more clearly written to get apples peeled . Hard to understand. I was about to return it back. but I would have gotten my money back less the amount for what I paid in shipping costs. I kept on adjusting the blade. It took me 5 apples 3 different varieties of apples to get the blade set right to peel . Also the apples have to be very fresh apples and firm.Once I got the settings right. It does what it is advertise to do. Peel, slices and cores . 01-30-12
Great concept...BUT has design flaws If you like soft apples this is not a good buy. Works better with Granny Smith apples. The peeler must be adjusted or you wiil have a very disfugured apple. My daughter likes it so, I'll keep it. You need a master's degree in mechanical engineering to operate this device and have an appealing looking apple...LOL. 01-21-12
