" I had been eyeing this purse for weeks and weeks. Trying to justify why I would need a $280 purse (price it was at first) when I have many other pricey purses I never use. Then the price of this purse went up to it's full asking price of $307. That's when I decided to take a chance with a "As Is" purse in the Terracotta and I'm so happy I did! I love this purse. There are 4 easy-access, outside pockets, but they are still very secure. The middle compartment zips up fully for items you want to keep more secure. And that's just the functionality. The purse itself is stylish, the leather is soft and pliable with a vintage look that I really like. The hardware though minimal is gorgeous and the beautiful handle is wide and so easy to carry. I know I will get another, even at full price (or even 2 more) in a different color; maybe the soft grey cobra and/or the truffle. I highly recommend. "

This is my first Aimee bag. I've been carrying it for a month now. It smells great. I have noticed a bit of dryness and a tiny patch in the black leather but it doesn't detract from the bag. The bag is made to be used. It would have to be more stiff to have feet on the bottom. I especially love the inside side pockets. The design is very unique. And I like the little details in the hardware but that there's not too much hardware like a lot of bags. I enjoy the subtle look and I love the whip stitch on the strap. Really I love my new bag! It is just like me... not perfect and not flashy but different and good quality. ;)
Rated 2 out of 5 by Meladen Love the style, not the leather.
I purchased this in the mahogany. There is a fine line between distressed and looks like it was run through a washing machine. Unfortunately the one I received looks more like the latter. It looks nothing like the ones shown in the photos or in the presentation. Rather, it is very dry and patchy looking, and looks more beaten up than distressed or vintage. Not sure if a leather conditioner might help. I may have just gotten a bad one.
Rated 1 out of 5 by KYJasper Great design. Poor choice of leather treatments.
Tried to carry this one a few days to acclimate to the rough, scaly, dried out feel to the purse. Just can't get past it. The texturing also makes the mahogany look like a bad dye job rather than a well-loved vintage purse. Sadly, boxing this one up and sending it back. I have several Aimee bags but this one just didn't make the cut.

The bag is flimsy, the main compartment is very small - it's definitely not worth the $280 they're charging. It's basically a $35 bag - not worth anything more than that.

I am a handbag girl, have a great collection and I wanted something different. I have been looking for a dark plum bag and when I saw this one, it's the perfect color.... dark plum. Not purply or burgundy, just a great color. I hope Aimee keeps this color. Now for the bag, it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Would be a 5 star if it was a bit bigger. The style and organization of the bag is awesome. Hangs great off the shoulder. The leather is a bit rough but then again it's a vintage leather. All in all for my first Aimee bag, it's a good bag. I wanted this one in black, but, not too sure yet.

First let me say the one good thing about this bag... The organization is brilliant. BUT... The so called distressed leather is awful. And to top it off the lining was ripped when I received it! I just ordered the Donney Special Value. Approximately the same price as Aimee's bag. But I know the Dooney will be total quality. As may guess Aimee's bag is being returned.

Just received this in the mahogany. It does feel dry but that doesn't bother me. Love the color, I was afraid it would be a bright purple, its more of a muted wine. Not a giant bag, a medium size. Love the size and the pockets. The strap is just right and will stay on my shoulder. Unlike the D&B Logo Lock which slides off my shoulder. But I hope it holds up like my D&B bags.
