What is it: The Agave Vapor Styling Iron with Vapor Infusion Hair Oil helps to condition hair by infusing it with the Agave Vapor Infusion. The infusion feature can be shut off to use the iron for styling only, and the cartridge that holds the vapor infusion is removable for easy refilling.

Who is it for: Ideal for all hair types and for those looking to smooth and condition hair.

Why is it different: The Vapor Infusion combined with the NanoIonic plates will help smooth hair. The Agave Vapor Infusion helps to give sleek, weightless shine. This conditioning styling iron can also be used to style your hair.

How do I use it: To fill the cartridge, first release it from the iron. Be sure to turn off the iron, unplug it from any power source, and allow it to cool down before doing this. Never try to refill the cartridge while the iron is hot or plugged in.

Next, remove the seal, fill the cartridge with Vapor Infusion, and replace the seal. DO NOT overfill the cartridge. Immediately dry any spillage in case of overfilling. Then replace the seal on the cartridge and the cartridge on the iron.

To operate the Vapor Iron, release the vapor by closing the iron plates together and pressing down on the Vapor Button until it clicks to the ON position. At this time, vapor will start to come out of the iron "top" plate. To be certain that the vapor is activated, make sure to press the vapor button in all the way until it makes the clicking sound.

Starting at the roots, about 1/4" away from scalp, and working in sections, run the iron slowly through to the ends with light pressure.

Repeat process, section by section, until complete.

Turn off vapor by pressing down the vapor control button until it makes a clicking sound.

Turn the iron off by pressing the ON/OFF button until the red light goes out. Unplug the iron when not in use.

Tip: Lead with a comb to guide iron through each section. This helps create more even sections and helps avoid hot vapor contact with skin.

Not worth It I've never spent this much money on a flat iron, but thought the oil infusion would be nice for my hair. The on/off button is located between the blades and difficult to use. The heat dial is also located between the blades and difficult to use and read. The oil container is tinted and you can't see if it needs more oil unless you put it up to a light. The oil bottles are terrible to open and it made no difference to my hair. Going back to my reasonably priced flat iron that does the job 100% better. 10-07-14
Love It! I have owned many hair straighners over the years and this is by far the best! Eventhough it does not heat up to 450 degrees like my other hair straightner, it does the job better! I have straighter shiny hair! One thing I was a little concerned about was how the Agave Oil has more of a texture as water than oil. Also, it definetly does not have vapor coming from the plates as shown in the picture thats quite an exageration. But over all I like this product even if I use it without the Agave oil. 05-09-14
Really Great for Dry Hair I was really surprised when I used this iron. My colored hair was so smooth and shiny! Much better than my $100+ Chi. It's as easy to use as any iron I've had, heats pretty quickly, and straightens my kinda frizzy hair in one pass. 04-18-14
BEST Flatiron EVER My hair is colored and really dry & this system has astounded me with how beautiful my hair is once again. Straight and conditioned, frizz-free & tangle free! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! 04-03-14

Great iron I found this product through an article on Refinery29 which gave it a positive review. I then watched the video and decided to try it myself. I'm so happy I did because I absolutely love this product. I'm mixed (African-American and Caucasian) and have naturally course curly hair. I've tried several expensive irons and this one by far turns my curls into straight, shiny locks that looks healthy. Not to mention it takes about 1/2 the time of any other irons. I'm still trying to figure out the vapor aspect, as I don't usually it every time I straighten it. But I love the iron aspect of this product and have noticed such a difference. 03-11-14

A good iron I just used this today and only one time. I have long, thick, coarse hair. I use flat irons to curl my hair, not straighten. I have an FHI iron, and I like it,but it left my hair dry and crispy after curling even though I only use it twice a week. The Agave iron interested me because I hoped it would infuse moisture into my hair when using it. I already use the Agave styling oil and it is amazing. The iron worked well. It is a little bigger than most irons. The plates are wider than the traditional inch. I used it on the highest setting and did not have the burned hair smell that I usually get with my FHI. However, it does get very hot and found it difficult to hold where I normally grip my iron because the plates were so hot. I will have to get used to adjusting my grip. It curled my hair well, but as the day has gone on, I've noticed that the curls are not holding up as long. With my FHI, the curls would stay for days until I washed my hair. My hair is softer and shinier after using the Agave iron. It doesn't smell, feel, or look damaged like it does with my FHI after styling. I will have to use it a few more times before I decide whether to keep it. So far, the pros outweigh the cons. 02-19-14
