Hard Drive Died Quickly
We had this for only 4 months and the hard drive crashed. The tech at Acer was very rude when calling and said they could not understand; their English was not good and communication was an issue. Unlike some other computer manufacturers who have no charges to send back for repairs, Acer says to send via UPS or FedEx, at our own expense. Would not recommend the brand. It worked for 4 months and for the money spent, not a good deal at all.

My son loves his new laptop!!!!
I purchased this laptop for my son as a birthday gift, he loves it. The ordering and delivery were fast and simple and it was a breeze to set up and is working like a champ. My son did mention that it is fast enough to run and play his games on, love it.

Well...I don't know .....
I received this computer very fast...but when I took it out of the box...I didn't like the look and feel of it...I usually get more expensive better quality computers...but this looks very cheap to me...but I was willing to look past that...but Now the computer loses my connection to the internet A LOT !!!!! I have other laptops in the home...and they always stay connected...but this Acer will not...therefore I am going to send it back...also Acer needs to stop using so much cheap plastic...looks very bad. But on the plus side...No Fingerprints !!!!

Really good for college student
This was a great computer so far. shipped fast to me, ws easy to use straight out the box. Easy to use PC straight out the box. the 88.00 *6 payments was good as well.

Nice Laptop, Nice Price
I bought this laptop for my teenaged daughter. All she wanted was a laptop with a webcam.
Being tech saavy, I was looking for some of the more essential things: 4G RAM, decent CPU, DVD writer, HDMI port, SD memory card slot and built-in webcam/mic. This product has them all.
It's a well respected brand and will most likely last into her college years. The screen is on the smaller side, but it was part of a calculated decision: it won't be used often for watching movies and the smaller screen will allow her more battery use time.
Minus 1 star for the small harddrive. An external harddrive can be purchased when needed, but with less than 500G I fear it will be sooner rather than later.
Overall it is a great deal and with the easy pay options, it doesn't hit your wallet as hard!

Great for the price!
So far Im very happy with this laptop. Seems to have everything I need. Excellent for basic everyday needs and for a student!

Excellent Product for my Teenager
This purchase was perfect for my teenager.
She writes a lot of school papers.
(Computer did not come with Microsoft Office)
She surfs the web a lot/plays games on the internet.
The memory is up-gradable.
Good speaker sound & a webcam.
And all of this for a reasonable price.

Returning this computer after one week
Got the computer - set it up - worked great until I attempted to shut down. It automatically did what felt like 100 updates - and automatically shut down. I turned it on the next day - and was unable to view various websites, log in to safe sites, etc. So...I googled the problem and found that it was a common problem. I attempted to get Acer support online - but the support was minimal and not helpful at all. I reinstalled various programs as instructed in the brief chat I had with an Acer support person but it did NOTHING. I've purchased a Dell with high customer ratings - hoping I have better luck.

My son likes it
This is actually my second Acer laptop purchase. I ordered this on Monday night and I got it Wednesday afternoon. Pretty darn fast! My first one was overheating a lot after about the 4th month of having it and I had to order another computer to replace it but...I use the computer A LOT so that might have just been me. I got a desktop to replace mine to avoid the overheating issue. So, we'll see with my son's use if it's all Acer laptops with the overheating issue or just me. So, if you need one right NOW, order an Acer... if you want a really good one... wait for a Dell, that takes WEEKS to get.
