Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect It’s pretty and heavy enough to hold in wind! I’m getting another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One arrived broken I purchased 2 of these. They are great, very heavy. However, the base is completely cement and one of them had a big chunk broken out of it when I opened it. I was not happy, but there's no way I am going to try and ship back a 50lb base. We are using it under our table. It still does the job, but looks horrible. Please package things better....the delivery drivers seem to just throw packages around these days!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate assembly and it's not heavy enough It did not say assembly required. I would not have bought it if it had because I hate that and it seems whenever we have to put anything together it usually means the connecting parts will be weak. As is the case with this thing because some of the parts are plastic. And that means cheap and easily broken I did manage to get it together after much study. The instructions, as usual are very bad. As a clue to future users, the first bolt the they talk about goes up from the bottom of the stand. It does not say that. it says to lay everything flat. Worse, is that 50 lbs is apparently not heavy enough to hold a 9ft umbrella in gusts of wind. At least this one isn't and I suspect it hast to do with the manufacture. I even put a concrete block on top of it and still the umbrella blew over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NICE WEIGHT...50lbs! I wanted a stand to use that would have enough weight to it, in order to hold an umbrella down when the wind picks up. Even though it weighs 50lbs, to my surprise, it is not hard to maneuver around when needed. No problems thus far.
