Hard Drive failure Purchased the Dell Mini in October, '08. Haven't used it all that much and the hard drive failed, yesterday, after bringing it back from a short trip where it was used frequently. Called Dell and they are sending out a new hard drive. But a hard drive failing isn't supposed to happen. It is convenient to carry while traveling, and thankfully we have another laptop to depend on at home. 03-05-09

This Laptop is Awesome! I just got my laptop to day...I LOVE IT!! It was easy to set up and get going.It's fast and I love the keyboard! I showed it to everyone at work and they loved it too! It is the perfect size...I can take it anywhere. Dell, you did a good job with this one! Thanks!! I would definately buy this one! Oh yeah, great screen too!! 03-04-09

great product for what it is I purchased the white one for my 13 year old daughter and my 20 year old daughter purchased the pink one. Both of them love their mini laptops. They take them every where and I mean every where. I took the white one to work with me to work on one of my homework assignments. I was amazed at how lightweight and easy it was to use. It does everything my regular laptop does without the added weight. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't have a cd rom but for my daughters that it isn't a problem. They put everything on their flash drives. I am going to order another one for my 12 year old son... 03-01-09

I love my little netbook! I love my netbook, it isn't going to be the large size laptop as far as view. You see everything you need to see for the convenience of a very portable laptop. I've taken it on planes. I have plenty of room on the tray table for my little computer and a soda. It's no problem getting my little computer that's stored under my seat in my purse. Taking it through security isn't a hassel. I take it to coffee shops, the library, and to work, I've even taken it camping if the camp ground has Wyfi. If I want a get away lunch, I take my computer with me on my lunch break. It's wonderful. I have to admit when there is something I'm very interested in on QVC I take my computer anyplace in my home to watch QVC. I even have it with me some mornings while I'm getting ready for work. It's so light, I can take it anywhere. If I want to order a QVC item, It's much easier using speed buy on my little lapnet, rather than picking up the phone to make the order. I love the freedom I have with my little lapnet!!! 02-27-09

Ram cannot be upgraded This comes with 1 GB of ram which is the same as the mini Dell 12 which cannot be upgraded. Keep this in mind when buying this dell 02-27-09

Great Product in a Small Package I purchased the 8.9 mini Dell in Sept. just before I had to fly out for a conference. While everyone else in the airport security line had to drag out their laptop computers, I carried mine under my arm like a paperback. I haven't had any problems with it and it's just as fast as any other XP computer I currently use. I love the 8.9 mini so well I am buying a 2nd 10.1 with the large HD for trips abroad. Thanks Dell for such a great product, and thank you QVC for making it so easy to afford it. 02-27-09

Horrible Customer Service Buyer beware...Dell has the worst customer service ever! And unlike the statement on TV by the Dell rep that if something is wrong with the computer, they will pay for shipping both ways, this is not the case. Dell will charge you to ship the netbook back to them. Battery life on the netbook is poor and it gets too hot. 02-27-09

good price this dell mini labtop is a good deal.i have ordered a red one for me for college and i will expect the labtop soon.it is good beacause its small same size of a class note book,light and carry on to go...gd deal guys get this dell laptop 02-26-09

bad product no results when the computer arrived it took over two hrs to fully load then after three days of me using it for about a two hrs a day it over heated customer service for dell is awful then they want to charge you 02-25-09

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE It took over 2 hours to reach a live person, and then they are unwilling to help at all. I will never purchase a Dell computer again. This product is horrible. 02-24-09
