WEN by Chaz Dean SweetAlmondMint &PomegranateDuo Auto-Delivery
Great for long hair!
I had been on the fence with Wen products until I ran out and had to switch to another shampoo that I had been using before. I have long hair - past my shoulders and I am in my early 60s. When I switched -- I was amazed at how much hair was coming out every time I washed my hair. When I got more product and switched back - it slowed back down again. I think I will stick with Wen.
Awful and ridiculously overpriced
I would actually not give this product any stars if that was an option. I have shoulder length very fine hair. First, the amount the directions tell you to use is outrageous. 14 pumps... Come on. I don't know how it happens but the texture feels dry but looks oily. Hair is very limp and there is no improvement over time. Do not recommend!!
I Love Wen products. For those of you that weren't happy PLEASE give it a chance you need to continue using it and don't give up, it takes a bit to see awesome results!! :)
Great Shampooing But.........
I like most of the results from this conditioning treatment, but got a bad perm five months ago. These have not helped my hair. It makes the hair soft but maybe even drier. AND by the way the pumps!! I struggled two days and two showers trying to open the new one and there is no open close arrow to show you. It seems stuck one day it took me over five minutes trying and still NOTHING!!!! And you can never get the last twenty or so pumps out of the bottom when using it. Sometimes I wonder if I have a hole in my head for spending the money on it. My dog seems better for it tho
Should have tried sooner!
I had resisted the many offerings because of the cost and the idea of no suds seemed too weird. Then I got a generous sample packet in a recent QVC Discovery kit and was amazed by this product! I have color treated thinning hair and WEN seriously doubles the amount of time I can now go between colorings. I figure that more than makes up for the price of the product, plus saving time and damage to my hair.
I don't actually need as much as is recommended and can still go 2-3 days between cleansing - same as with all the many shampoos tried over the years. My hair is bouncier and has more volume too. I can't tell much difference in outcome between the 2 formulas, but I prefer the Pomegranate scent, and it does feel a bit more like traditional shampoo. Plan to try Tea Tree in the future for more volume.
Thanks QVC for the sample that made this sceptic a WEN girl for life!!!!!
I love both the sweet almond mint and pomegranate, but both contain menthol which I am finding has been giving me dry eyes. I cancelled future shipments, however I am now trying the WEN kids. I received the apple-so far so good. I just placed an order for watermelon. Hopefully I will continue to like these.
Not for Extra Fine Hair
Disappointed in this product. I had finally decided to try the product after watching the demo's for months. I tried all of the scents - cucumber aloe seemed to work the best. However, after a day and a half, it looked like I had not washed my hair in a week. My hair is extra fine and I am unable to use regular conditioners. I don't like giving this 1 star, because it was my fault, I should have known better. Not sending back because I'll give to friends and family.
The Best Product Ever!
Can I vote every day! I have been blessed with great hair. It is thick. It is naturally curly when I cut it shorter. It holds any style. It grows like mad. But, having said all this, it tangles like mad when wet. And I am 49 so I am gray.
With Wen I no longer have to use a conditioner and detangler. And instead of coloring my hair every 4 weeks, I color every 7 to 8 weeks. And my color is not dull looking after a shampoo.
Also, if I let my hair grow to my waist, it is so heavy it pulls out the curl. With Wen, as soon as I have it cut, my curls are right there.
I just can't say enough. I will NEVER use store bought shampoo again.
Way to go Chaz!
I was so excited to try this as I'd seen it advertised for so long. Unfortunately, I was not impressed at all! It left my hair with a dry feeling to it, even if I used it in two segments as the instructions suggest. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed, but it still left a residue type of feeling. Those that say I didn't rinse enough are wrong...I rinsed over and over again and this happened every time I tried the product. Since I didn't keep the return label and didn't take the time to go online to print another before the 30 days was up, I'll have to keep it. Guess the dogs will be smelling good! :-/
I have tried but...
I have been using this product now for over four months. I bought the 5 bottle set with the different fragrances for each season. It is June and I am on my last bottle which is the Apple Spice (I assume for fall). I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and I am already getting close to running out. In any case, my hair is not any healthier than when I was using a good quality shampoo. I would love to see what the models' hair looks like before they go on the air. I have come to believe that unless I have Chaz Dean doing my hair every time I use it then I will not get the result you see on QVC with the models. I would continue buying it but for that amount of money, not having Chaz doing my hair for me and no significant result I am saying goodbye to Wen.
Loved the pomegranate, not sweet almond
Tried sweet almond mint first since it was his original. It left my hair dry and fried looking. Almost didn't try the pomegranate. Pomegranate ended up being such a completely different product than the SAM for me. I am perimenapausal and my hair has become dry and breaks easily around my face. the pomegranate has transformed the texture of my hair. It is more youthful, more moisturized while also having more body and volume. My hair doesn't snap and break at all anymore and has more elasticity. You have to follow his directions and use a lot more than you think, add some water, massage and coat every strand. Leave in for rest of shower. Also huge helpful hint is to follow his advice and invest in a round boars head brush on a wooden base if you blow dry your hair. Not metal which overheats hair. Avoid flat irons as much as possible. Ive tried so many brands and this is finally healing my hair.
After reading many positive reviews and using this product years ago, I was excited to be a WEN GIRL and use wen again. Much to my disappointment, though, my hair does not stay clean for as long as it did with my salon purchased products and I don't have any fewer fly aways than if I purchased drug store shampoo and conditioner.
I was so thrilled, upon ordering, to switch from my salon products to Wen, but only found that my color rinsed out no less than it would l did with my previous shampoo. Great anticipation to have more healthy hair was only met with more frequent washings required.
I love the idea of what Wen claims to offer for your hair, so I'll, likely, Tri another product in the future if they come out with something that seems as though it appeals to my needs, but until then I'll be returning to salon brands.
I wish my experience and review was better, because I really did look forward to seeing the results shown on wen infomercials.
