Rated 1 out of 5 by DNelson1 Tanzanite Looks Nothing Like Display
Very unhappy with this ring. The display tanzanite is a deep dark stone and one received is much much lighter. Bought this to wear as wedding ring, was going to purchase the matching band for my wedding set to wear at work but instead it just sits in a box!

You know when you go on a cruise and they try and scare you about the tanzanite is running out forever...now I have my 1 carat stone of tanzanite, and a beautiful band. It's really pretty looks great with jeans...get this!
Rated 5 out of 5 by BethinNJ Stunning tanzanite!
I love this ring! I've been collecting tanzanite jewelry for years but nothing this big. I always wanted a larger solitaire and only wear yellow medals. So while I saw the mixed reviews, a 1 ct. tanzanite set in 14k for $230 was way too good to not try. Boy am I glad I did! It's a stunning piece with HUGE presence. The stone is beautifully set and cut, clear without visible inclusions (extremely eye clean) and is a gorgeous almost periwinkle color. A deeper, bluer tanzanite in this size would cost a minimum of hundreds more. The only drawback is the byzantine band does bend a bit. But this is not enough of a deterrent for this beauty of a jewelry find. I just exercise a little caution and do not shower, sleep or work out while wearing.

My husband gave me this ring for Christmas. It's very pretty, BUT it's poorly made. Mine is falling apart. The Byzantine woven band is coming apart. I hope QVC will let me return it.

This is truly a beautiful and elegant ring. The gemstone is beautiful and the workmansip of the byzantine design is unique. The only issue that I have is that the ring bends easily.

My husband purchased this ring for me for my birthday. I have worn it twice and the gold band has split. I can't find a jewler that can fix it. And of course it is after the 30 day return date. The gold part of the ring is pretty but made very thin and it bends and moves when it shouldn't. VERY UPSET.
Rated 3 out of 5 by moondust Lovely, tho "delicate" & "light" color Tanzi
Ladies, I ordered this ring the very lst time it was presented. If I remember correctly, we had to "wait" for it to receive it and I "think" this was made in Turkey (possibly Italy?) sorry, I have the ring with me now, but do not have my "loop" available to check for you. Generally though, Byzantine is made in famously in Turkey.
I found the ring itself to be made "well" and the amount of Gold and the "presence" it has is quite unique and lovely. It Will Get Noticed; it is not a "tiny" ring; kinda like Goldilocks...just Perfect in size. I have no issues with my Byzantine; smooth and no rough spots. It IS, however, "soft" and it Will! "bend" if you push-too-hard. I have worn mine at least 20 times, but I also do not do any kind of "labor" with it on, like washing dishes or housework, mainly wear it...going "out" for the evening. It has held up for me...just fine. Now. About the "stone" itself. I of course "looped" my stone the moment I got it. It does not have noticeable "inclusions", cracks or scratches; it is quite "clear". Now. The "color". I Do Realize that to get a Awesome Dark Blue Color, with Incredible "flashes of red/purple..etc", is not only difficult these days...if you do...you Pay-Through-The-Nose!! for such a Tanzi. I get that. I bought most of my Tanzi over 18 years ago and have a few of "those". The "color" of my Tanzi is actually, pretty, but much much more looking like a med/light colored...."Blueish"/with touch of "Lavender"...Topaz. I have taken it out in ALL different "types" of lightning and you SHOULD do the..same. It DOES look "different" in different light settings, as it should, it IS a...Tanzanite after all. Mine does have a large "window"; so of course my color saturation would generally be on the much lighter side of even a med/light colored Tanzi. "My" color is at least 40% lighter than the one presented in the video. I of course, kept this ring. Because it IS Unique, Does have a good amount of Gold, even though the Gold...is "soft" and you should be Mindful when wearing it, "my" craftsmanship is done Well, my Tanzi has No noticeable inclusions/scratches, AND....even though, I am disappointed in the actual "color" and color saturation of "my" stone, it is STILL...very pretty. So. Since each!! stone is the magic of Mother-Nature, and it can be like a Box-of-Cracker-Jacks (a surprise!! each time), this on clearance is a "steal" I feel and WORTH ordering. A gamble, but the Q stands behind their return policy and you just may get a Tanzi that YOU!! are very happy with!! Just be "gentle" and "take care" with this one Ladies, not for every day wear and tear, but truly Lovely to be worn out on special occasions.

This ring is soooo beautiful and as others have mentioned the links are prone to break but it's too beautiful not to have so I offer this suggestion of what has worked for me. First, this is a delicate ring and I wouldn't suggest wearing it while working in the yard, etc. It seems to not break as easily if it fits better too - if it's loose it will have more opportunity to be pushed out of shape and then break as you're doing things. I ordered this in the Fire Opal and the Tanzanite - had to send the first Tanzanite back as the stone was dull and when I got the replacement it was gorgeous - I've ordered both in size 6 and size 7 so I can wear them any part of the year -- whether in winter when I need the smaller and in summer when the larger size will work best.

I waited a couple of months for this ring. I have other tanzanite pieces. I was very excited to receive this ring. The gold part of the ring is beautiful, however the stone color was not what I was expecting. The stones that I like are usually more of a purple cast, this was more of a blue. It looked very purple on t.v. I am sure each ring has a different color, and some people might not be as picky. It is a pretty ring, just not what I wanted.

Of course I was excited to get a tanzanite in a gold setting for this price. But as they say, you get what you pay for. The ring bends as another customer noted. The color of the stone is watery and not at all a saturation of color as the photo depicts but what do you expect at this price? I would have kept it if the band didn't bend since I would have some tanzanite but unfortunately, I am returning it.

This was my second tanzanite ring. While the band was beautiful the stone looked like cut glass with inclusions. Sorry this is going back.

I order a lot of product on-line and this tanzanite byzantine ring is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's beautiful and I love it. I don't think I'll ever take it off. It's so special, I had to write this review and I hardly ever write reveiws. Thanks QVC!
