V31275 - Duraflame Electric LED Light Crackling Log Fireplace Set 2.9 5 9 9
Keep it Nice item and idea. But this is way to much work to turn flame and log sound on from the back. Pain to reach in fireplace every time you want to turn it on. This products needs to be modified. Returned item, Would NOT recommend to anyone. 01-09-12
Great with Pets This is just perfect for my firer place. Our condo's firer box is fairly small and I would never burn a real firer in it. A gas log is nice but, who wants their gas bill to go any higher. And with pets I did not want anything with a real flame any way. Now my firer place looks more finished. The only thing that could use improvement was the sound did not seem real. It gave a finishing touch to my Christmas display. As for the glow it looked fine to me. There are product out there that might look better but they have real flames, and cost a lot more so if that is what you want then this is not the product for you but I am very happy with my fake logs. 01-02-12
Good for the price, don't by for the sound effect I feel for the price, I got what I was wanting. I had flameless candles in my fireplace, and wanted something different. It is a soft glow, and yes, not realistic, but it is a nice effect. The sound leaves a lot to be desired, sounds more like jiffy pop popping pop corn on the stove! It does have 3 volume settings, and low is high enought. The on/off button for effects should be in the front or design a remote that works. I agree with the other reviews, it is a pain having to open the screens and reach in the back. Overall, I like it, but could be improved. 12-20-11
very good purchase this is what I have been waiting for to put in my fireplace. I have this in my bedroom. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is I was disappointed it didnt come with a remote control. I have to bend down with a bulging disc in my back to turn it off and on. 12-18-11
Nice but useles "Not bright enough and everytime you unplug it, the next time u use it you have to pull away the fireplace screen and pull out the log set and turn it back on. I think this a flaw. "Natural cracling sound" sounds like nails folling into empty coffe can - terrible. 12-18-11
Nice for the Price I purchased this log set for a corner fireplace that is designed to burn canned gel fuel. My husband hates the smell of the gel fuel, so we decided to get this just to add some ambience to our dining room. It looks about as expected. No one would mistake it for a real burning fire, but it does give a lovely glow to the otherwise dark corner. I have to agree the sound it makes is not very realistic. I prefer to have the sound on low or completely off. Still overall, it's very nice for the price, and it's safe to have on when our little grandchildren visit. 12-18-11
Decent enough Looks OK. Nice enough lighting effect. Sound is very tinny (metallic). Turned sound off and lights on for the ambiance. Definitely not worth full price. 12-15-11
Very Nice Although this does not provide heat it is nice to have. It looks so real on or off. The sound could be improved, (reason for 4 stars) so I just turn the sound off and enjoy the glow. It can be placed anywhere and makes a nice night light.. 12-13-11
Too much trouble. Not bright enough and everytime you unplug it, the next time u use it you have to pull away the fireplace screen and pull out the log set and turn it back on. I think this a flaw. I put some stringed lights underneath the logs for more brightness but still seems not bright enough. I guess I'll just have to put the real duraflame logs in its place and just have a real fire. 12-12-11
