Susan Graver Velvet Shawl Collar Long Sleeve Blazer
Beautiful fit. Very well made. Susan...you did it again! 'Love this!!
I love Her clothing line. But I find that almost all her clothing is just priced way to high. I have found that, That I can find something i love of her's and go and look at another seller line & almost alway's find some thing sold by another so close to what i wanted of Susan's for half the price.
She need's to bring down her prices!!! And, It hurt's me to say this because I love her She seem's like she is such a fun loving person. But when I can get a pair of jegging for 23.00 and her's are 43.00.
And I don't see many easy pay's on her items. That would even help most of us who's out here buying. Thank you!
l had just about given up on SG's line and then l received this beautiful jacket! It does run a little large but it drapes so nicely that l'm just going to move the button a bit. I have long arms so no complaints about the sleeve length here. The shoulder pads are perfect and l always prefer the face-softening effects of a shawl collar. The only miss? It really needs on-seam pockets! However, l think adding pockets would have negatively changed the cost and construction of the jacket....all in all, it's a keeper!
I really liked this!
I have this jacket in black and in wine. I agree it is a very relaxed fit, but I think it is lovely I wore both quite a often over the holidays, sharp and comfortable.
Do not understand the bad reviews. Is not cheap or put together badly. Yes runs big. Return Large for Med. No prob. who doesn't want to wear a size smaller LOL A little extra work for a gorgeous outfit. I got the 6 gore velvet skirt too and matches perfect.
Fabulous suit or one piece at a time. Loads of compliments.
Love this "Armani" style
I have the wine and the navy with the black on waitlist. This is not the sharp tailoring of a YSL or McQueen style. It is a comfortable, slouchy (easy) construction that dresses up or down with ease. I wear a 14 in Talbots and other department store brands. I always seem to wear a medium in Susan's generous styling. This jacket works for me. I love it. Wouldn't mind some other colors...like a rich chocolate or deep (not bright) green.
To Big for size!!!
I ordered a large in this jacket and it wrapped around me from side to side. I've found the SG fashions is not true to size as it has been in the past, they are cheap looking and the workmanship is awful. Once in awhile a nice piece comes out and fits nicely.
Susan you need to get back to basics and make your clothes like you did in the past.
Back for a second!
I love love love this blazer, particularly the shoulder pads. Finally something with structure that I don't have to add my own KK pads to! The material is consistent with all the best Susan velvets that I've purchased for a couple of decades now. Yes, it runs larger than most (but not all) Graver garments; but. if one just reads the garment measurements, the fit is predictable and the best size can be purchased. And if there is no good size for a specific body, it would be best to just not buy it. As I'm losing weight, I'm buying my second in a smaller size. Anyway, it's gorgeous. Please bring it back in black, as the medium is now sold out!
I love susan graver clothing but this one did not meet expectations. I am a size M and this M was huge and messy fitting. The lining hangs out from the sleeve and the bottom, I really want a velvet blazer so i hope this gets tweeked and i will try again.
This jacket is a disaster! I agree with all of the previous negative reviews.
I do, however, like the use of larger shoulder pads in a jacket because they have a slimming affect. My SG size is XL but this jacket was AT LEAST three sizes too big.
Lately I've been wondering if Susan is still in charge of her own designs and their execution. There have been too many disasters.
I so very much wanted a soft velvet blazer. How about making an updated version that is not so long and has true to size fit?
Three Strikes Against It
Strike 1 Like so many of the other reviews the fit is huge Even if I went down one size I think it would still be too big.
Strike 2 Don't know what it is with the shoulder pads but it makes me look like a football player.
Strike 3 There are no pockets.
Received it today, Tomorrow it is going back.
STRANGE & ILL-FITTING
I WEAR MEDIUMS IN MANY SG LONG LASTING JACKETS/BLAZERS AND LOVE THEM, GAINING MANY COMPLIMENTS. THIS MED WOULD FIT AN XXL. IT IS NOT MADE WELL ---SLEEVE LINING HANGS BELOW VELVET AND IT LOOKED LIKE IF WORN A FEW TIMES THE JACKET LINING WOULD HANG BELOW THE BLAZER. LIKED THE LONGER LENGTH BUT COULD NOT GET OVER THE EXTRA, EXTRA LARGE FIT & NEEDS FOR ALTERATION. THE SHOULDER PADS WERE TOO LARGE AND WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ACCEPTABLE IF COULD REMOVE FOR SMALLER ONES OR NONE. I WONDER WHAT THE SHOULDER PADS WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE AFTER WASHING. I HAVE LONG WORN MANY OF SG'Ss CLOTHES BUT NOW THAT SHE IS ON MORE QVC PGMS THIS BLAZER EMBODIES THE MANY ILL FITTING CLOTHES OF HERS I AM RECEIVING. NOTHING IS SAID BY SG OR THE HOSTESS IF THE CLOTHES RUN LARGER OR SMALLER THAN USUAL. THE MAIN OVER & OVER LINE IS, "I MAKE EVERYTHING TO COMPLIMENT THE FEMALE FIGURE." SORRY THIS BLAZER WAS AN OVERALL FAILURE WITHOUT ANYTHING FLATTERING . I DO NOT KNOW IF SHE IS CHANGING HER SIZES OR WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. I RETURNED THE NAVY & BLACK BLAZERS AS DEFECTIVE. I HOPE SG RETURNS TO HER WELL MADE/FITTING JACKETS AND SHIRT JACKETS. I SO WANTED THESE LONGER VELVET BLAZERS TO WEAR WITH MY BLACK EQUESTRIAN BOOTS.
