Rated 5 out of 5 by What A Find !!! Got this book about 5 days ago and have made about 7 recipes out of it so far. Amazing!!! Not only have my husband and I lost weight in just 5 days but the food is so good. The only thing is it's just the two of us and the recipes usually make more than we need. But not to worry. We freeze leftovers and then we have a really quick meal to heat up on busy nights. There is no strange ingredients that can't be found in markets. This book is the best. 03-06-16

Rated 1 out of 5 by VERY DISAPPOINTED--Misleading I was excited to get this book to help with portion size. I expected the low fat cheese, etc. Unfortunately, the recipes are not for 2-4 people. You make a regular 9 x 13 pan of lasagna and your portion size is 1/32 of the pan! What am I going to do with the other 31 portions? I like leftovers, but not the same food every day for a month. Yes, I could freeze it, but I still have 31 portions to eat. Or how about the recipe on page 119. Portion is 1/4th of a 6oz chicken breast. I was expecting the recipes to be for less people so there wouldn't be 23 brownies--portion size is 1/24 of pan--sitting around tempting me to eat them. I don't need a book to tell me half a pan of brownies of more than 100 calories! 03-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by SO GOOD I was debating whether to buy this or not.. but I am so glad I did! The book has very clear instructions, helpful tips, and lots of pictures. I have made about 4 of the recipes in here already and they are all DELICIOUS. It is also a really great feature that is shows you in small diagrams how much is really "the perfect portion". I absolutely love this book! I definitely would recommend it! 03-01-16

Rated 2 out of 5 by okay I was really looking for a good cookbook that gave not only total calories, but also sodium level. I thought this book would be great to have --to know exactly what 100 calories means....in real life. I have now made multiple recipes from this book and am returning. I guess to get 100 calories you have to go with recipes that lack flavor. I am also disappointed that none of the recipes give sodium levels. 02-29-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not sure about this.... I ordered this book in advanced and had been anxiously awaiting delivery. I was so happy when it finally arrived but am not sure if I'm really happy with it. Recipes are okay but am disappointed that the nutritional value for each recipe is not included. I am doing WW now and could really use the values so I can figure out my Smart Points. I must say that the photos are enticing for each recipe. The 100 Calorie count diagrams are nice, but I want the nutritional value as well. I am still torn between keeping this or returning it. My daughter loves the book only because Anson Williams is photographed in the book.(she's a big Happy Day's fan!) 02-28-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Healthy Cookbook for Large Families I was very impressed with the ease of preparation and ingredients needed for these healthy recipes. I made the chili and quiche and both were delicious. However, I didn't realize that the recipes had so many servings. Almost all recipes are 6 to 8 servings, too much for empty nesters or singles. This book also had helpful information for snacks, calorie counting and portion control ideas. I recommend this book for families that want a healthy lifestyle. I will be returning the book because of serving sizes. 02-28-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfectly Delicious Too! I love comfort food! But as the typical calorie conscious foodie I had become reluctant to cook some of my favorite meals - until now! Not only does the Perfect Portion show you what is a 100, 200 calorie portion , but the recipes are perfectly delicious too! Kudos to the authors!! So far I have made the chicken pot pie, Mona's Southwestern Chile, Tomato Soup and cheesecakes, and I have only had the book 2 weeks! My daughter is getting her own apartment and I got one for her too ! Hoping to see more cookbooks from this team.... 02-28-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this book I love this book. I have made the spinach pie, stuffed tomatoes, and my husband raved about the stuffed mushrooms. He is a meat eater but didn't miss the meat in these. He loved them! This book is great for me because I am trying to loose a few pounds, but my husband isn't. With this book, I can custom my meals and eat less due to the portion part of the recipie. Am looking forward to making the meatloaf. 02-27-16
