Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I was very disappointed with this cookbook. I watch Lidia every evening on my PBS network. Most of her recipes are great. This book does not have enough pictures. And certainly does not have the recipes I expected. None of the dessert recipes, like Crespelle, Zeppole or Cannoli Napoleon. Too many recipes with squash, zucchini and peppers to suit me. I want down to earth Italian recipes, not all this fancy stuff. Therefore I am going to put it in Tea Lakes non profit White elephant sale next month. It is not worth returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Lidia I love each and every one of her cookbooks. My only wish is to make a cookbook for working mothers. I would want a whole cookbook with recipes that you could make on Sundays and freeze for during the week and/or quick meals for week nights. This would make my life a whole lot easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cookbook If you like Lidia, you'll love this cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow, and we've had success with all we've tried. The manicotti with the egg crepes (crespelle manicotti) was so tasty and fun to make. The crostoni, are wonderful, too and great for a quick and simple meal. No kitchen should be without this cookbook!

I really appreciate the vegetable recipes. Over the years, I have learned so much from watching her cook. What can I say - Tutti a tavola a mangare - I hope I spelled it right! Thank you, Lydia, David Venable, and QVC!

I am a big fan of hers and watch her all the time,you learn so much. I would tell anyone don't hesitate to by this book or any of her others. Great purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not enoough pictures I which Chef Lida on PBS all the time. But was very disappointed with this cookbook sadly to say. I like to see what a recipe will or should look like after it is made. Not enough pictures in this cookbook. Lots of recipe but very few pictures of what it should look like. I just wish these great chefs might listen to their fans about what we suggest. I will continue to watch Ms. Lidia on our local PBS on Saturday's.
