"Fabio's 30-Minute Italian" Cookbook by Fabio Viviani is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for average cook I thought this was going to be a simple cook book because the receipts were for 30 minutes. MOST of these I would not use. No simple ingredients to find in stores.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I hoped this book will be a new way to cook Italian in a timely manner. I was very disappointed with the lack of recipes that I would like to make. Too high class Italian and not enough of the basics which I love. Sorry Fabio your book is a bust with me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many exotic ingredients. I really wanted to like this cookbook but; after reading all the helpful suggestions Fabio gives at the beginning of his book, comes the recipes. One salad recipe called for Burrata cheese. After calling at least four Italian deli's that said they did not sell it, I found it at Wegman's grocery stores under the national brand name BelGioioso For $5.99/8Oz. Couldn't any fresh, mozzarella cheese work in that recipe? Then there was a recipe for a salad using speck (German for bacon), but how many home cooks are familiar with that variety...Again, couldn't pancetta or even American bacon be used? The entree recipes were easy to follow, but again contained many high cost ingredients...Cockles??? Fresh clams are easily available but who knows of a source for fresh cockles? Desserts looked great, but I doubt the majority can be made in thirty mins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I just received the book yesterday and read through it last night. I can see me making at least 75% of the recipes in this book. I could hear his distinct voice in my head as I was reading all of his introductions to the recipes and his notes. I have at least 50 cook books and I can honestly say I will more than likely get the most use out of this cook book. Well done Fabio! You keep writing cook books like this and I would probably buy them all!
