Rated 5 out of 5 by Ohhh Mmyyy Word !! All of us quoted one of David Venable's sayings "Oh My Word" when we tried the Company Coming Mac & Cheese. I made it yesterday (Memorial Day) as an additional side dish to go along with our grilled hamburgers & baked beans.....it's rich/gooey and the "secret ingredient" in it makes this dish "Extraordinary"!! Thanks Mary Foreman......please keep sharing your recipes... NOTE: I did buy the block cheese and grated it myself as recommended in the recipe.... 05-31-16

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for new cooks, or new to the South cooks I love this cookbook! I grew up in the south eating foods found in this cookbook. Unfortunately, as life gets busier, people seem to rely on drive thru take-out or microwave dinners. Recipes like this are a thing of the past. They are worth the effort and the yield the genuine tastes from the past. Thanks for carrying this cookbook. 05-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Turned this Yankee into a Southern Cook! I love this cookbook. I've had it a few months and it's my go-to cookbook for just about everything I cook. The pages are dog-eared and dirty, just like my Grandmas recipe cards! I love the Fire and Ice salad, the Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs - the only way I make my ribs now. So easy and so good every single time.. I made the fried pies ( I made peach) and they turned out AMAZING! I can't wait for the peaches to ripen this year so I can make them again! I would recommend this book to everyone, There isn't a recipe in it that my family and I wouldn't eat. I really enjoy that Miss Mary has put a recipe for just about every Southern Staple ( try the deviled eggs) and the Sweet tea! I wish I would have found it before I filled up my cupboard space with books I'll probably not even look at ever again. 05-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous Cookbook This is one of my favorite cookbooks. Mary gives you easy to follow directions and tips to help make every recipe a success. She has filled it with recipes not stories. I can't say enough about this wonderful cookbook. I am buying more as gifts. 05-01-16
