Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good For years, I've admired Tempt-ations and really wanted to buy some for my mom, but the reviews were always complaining about cracks and splits. So, I hesitated. This year, they finally seemed to have good reviews, so I took a chance with this piece. Sadly, my mom passed away in February from ovarian cancer, so she never got to have any Temp-ations. I have used this piece twice so far. Both times cooking pasta in the microwave. No troubles yet. I read the instructions included to make sure I was using all precautions. I did two servings of pasta both times and stored the leftover portion in the fridge. Now, what I did to be extra cautious was after taking it out of the microwave and draining, I let it set on the counter until it cooled down to close to room temperature before putting in the fridge. To reheat, I actually reheated in a bowl I was going to eat out of. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I figure switching from hot to cold too quickly or cold to hot to quickly might be part of the problem people have been having? Or they're letting them soak in dishwater. I've been using the dishwasher for these. Instructions clearly state not to let the bottom set in dishwater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive Piece, 'As Is" Pricing A Plus . . . Have been looking for a longer, pullman-style loaf pan, and this is as close as Temp-tations has come to it. For the first time, I could see the words "refused" written on the box under some of the tape, so I knew it hadn't been opened, except to slip in the "as is" description. Item was brand new and will find itself used frequently, not only for cooking pasta, but breads, meat loaf, mac & cheese and a whole lot more. Definitely worth the investment.
